Hi all. I rarely get involved with religious discussion for obvious reasons, however, this particular site seems an appropriate forum for folks of all religious stripe. I guess I'm what you might call a unitarian universalist, in that I accept and respect all religions. My past has included Mormonism, Catholicism and the United Church. I no longer attend any formal institution, opting instead to follow a spiritual path free from the burdens of organized religion, and I have never been happier.

A little late to the party but welcome justjazz! I suspect the "United Church" you left was the United Church of Christ? May I ask why? I'm a member of the UCC & I love it. Is there anything in particular that happened to cause you to leave?

Hi once again justjazz. Great to have you here. If I recall the United Church goes by a number of variations on its name. United Church of Christ in the US, but simply United Church in Canada where I am.

UU or UC or UCC--it's all good to me.

Actually, it was the United Church of Canada, and I married a Catholic and converted.
