Just goes to show there are 'false christians' (e.g. early trinitarians and their resultant non-original violent doctrine) who need threats and Laws imposed of death and torture to make their voice heard and conversely genuine Christians, who prefer to allow God's Word to speak for itself. |

| I like to describe it in this way, as this is how I have come to understand it: We as humans have a soul, which resides in our physical bodies. We also have a conscience, which I believe is probably our soul's voice, but I admit that is merely speculation. Regardless, even though we are made up of these things, we still exist as one being. Not two, or three, but just one. Jesus also has these parts to him. He has a soul, the Father, which dwells in him. Jesus is the temple of God. The Holy Ghost, which is translated as meaning " a Holy Breath from God, is in the body of Jesus. But Jesus is still only one being. This is not trinity, as some have accused it of being, the beliefs of trinity are that Jesus and God and the Holy Ghost are 3 seperate beings. Bitterlily did a wonderful job of showing that in her post. Nice job! |

Perhaps you could share what you understand about this 'soul' and the Scriptural evidence to support you?
Thanks |

Gen 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
All powerful, isn't he?
Would you like more scriptural proof of the human soul, Mr. Composer? |

Mat 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
This passage must be corrupt also, if we don't have a soul. |

| Sounds pretty simple to me, 1 body & 1 spirit= 1 soul. Jim |

Ec 12:7 then the dust will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it.
(NAS95) The reverse process, no more soul until we get the new body. |

| Soul - the principle of life, feeling, thought, and action in humans, regarded as a distinct entity separate from the body, and commonly held to be separable in existence from the body; the spiritual part of humans as distinct from the physical part. |

I've just read the entire thread....I must say, bitterlily's commentary stands out!....I suggest that all read it, and re-read it, research it, study it, and gain a full understanding of it.
Good job bitterlily, good job! |
