I saw the thread about water baptizm. You guys don't believe what Ben was saying about it? It's in the bible, guys. I just read it. If he is wrong, then what is the truth? |

I believe baptism is done in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, immersed in water. Yes, I also believe the disciples where baptized in this manner for I believe they practised what they preached, even though there is no scripture saying they were baptized.
I did not ask this question as a trick or anything alot of times I like to ask question I may have the answer to already, to get other peoples take on things. I like to try to see things from others point of view. |

| Well thank you for clarifying that. I am glad you believe that because it is truth. Do you then also believe in the Holy Ghost as required for salvation? |

That I really don't know. I believe those filled with the Holy Ghost are the bride of Christ who do not go through the Tribulation, and then there are believers mentioned in the Bible who are saved. Maybe this is the ones who go through tribulation and are saved ???
I say this because I know Eph 1:13 and 4:30 says we are sealed with the Holy Ghost. And then we have scripture like Mark 16:16, John 3:16,36 showing that believers have eternal life, and from the book of Acts we know there is a huge difference from believers and those who recieve the Holy Ghost.
Also in the parable of the 10 virgins, 5 had oil and left with the Bridegroomto the marriage while the other 5 went to buy oil. When the other 5 came back it was too late. To me this also seems to run in line with the marriage supper of the Lamb in rev 19:6. And yet the thing I cannot ignore is even though the 5 were left behind they were still refered to as "virgins" meaning to me they were true to God and just were no ready yet to go.
There is a lot to this subject, and I am very much open to more. |

hi loveall...i read the thread you referd to and saw nothing there that is even remotely suggestive that ben knows what he is talking about...
if you owuld like to discuss why i ffeel this way, we can using scripture and it is easy to show why ben is wrong...as a matter of fact, if one cares to read the thread, it is easy to see he ducked the post that show how unrightly divided ANY doctrine is that requires getting wet as a part of salvation...which is something peter later admited himself in the book of acts...
i will not play the...'only answer my loaded and misguided question game' for such reeks of falsehood and is nothing but a cult tactic to confuse the unread...
if however you feel you can have an honest discussion about it...
theres a one on one forum where we cna talk about uninterupted... |
