Greetings all,

I do not believe that the physical world will ever cease to exist.

Isaiah 45:17, "But Israel shall be saved in the Lord with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end."

I believe that the ways of this world will be destroyed by the flaming fire of God's Word.

I Peter 1:7, "That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire,"

The fire is the Word.

The righteous are going to inherit the earth. It was created for the sons of God and when God sets up the Kingdom it will be set upon the earth, I believe his people will dwell in the New Jerusalem and the enemies of righteousness will serve the elect.

According to the prophet Isaiah the earth; the New Jerusalem will spring forth into life and the nations will marvel and know that our God is the true and living God.

I believe that Isaiah is our key to the knowledge of the Kingdom of God when it is manifest.

In Christ, Judy

Hi nana,
you know how a lot of churches do those tent revivals?

I have a feeling there's something big afoot, but it's so internal..
It's not the pulpit or the preacher that's stirring..it's more on a very quiet individual rising..

grassroots LOL..no kidding.. Wink

I hear the Lord...the harvest is great but the labourers are few..
although I see things multiplying everywhere..
so cool!! Very Happy

Isaiah 45:17, "But Israel shall be saved in the Lord with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end."

Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Very Happy

Isaiah 45:17 (English Standard Version)

17But Israel is saved by the LORD
with everlasting salvation;
(A) you shall not be put to shame or confounded
to all eternity.

[Cross Reference]
Isaiah 54:4
4"Fear not,(A) for you will not be ashamed;
be not confounded, for you will not be disgraced;
for you will forget the shame of your youth,
and the reproach of your widowhood you will remember no more.

Greetings gman,

When Christ died on the cross the sins that they had committed were forgiven; they, all of Israel were indeed saved from their sins. It was prophecied of old:

Isaiah 1:18, "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool."

Galatians 4:4-5, "But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,"

5) To redeem them that were under the law,"All Jews were saved from their sins as the scriptures said, but there is only a remnant that will believe.

Romans 11:4-5, "But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.

5) Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace."

I don't think Isa 45:17 is a verse that help prove the earth is forever.

Isaiah 45:17 (New King James Version)

17 But Israel shall be saved by the LORD
With an everlasting salvation;
You shall not be ashamed or disgraced
Forever and ever.

Greetings gman,

In all my reading of the Bible it has never occured to me that God did not make the earth to last forever.

Isaiah 45:18, "For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord; and there is none else."

If there is a possibility that there will be a completely new earth for us to dwell on in the future that is okay with me, but at present I believe that is the ways of the world that will be destroyed.

Revelation 21:1, "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and ther was no more sea."

Matthew 5:5, "Blessed are meek: for they shall inherit the earth."

Psalms 37:11, "But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace."

Romans 4:13, "For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith."

I believe that the Bible teaches that the earth is our inheritance and we will dwell forever in the land of milk and honey. This promise was not fulfilled in Abrahams time but it will be fulfilled to his children; the children of faith.

[2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!]

I find it interesting that Christians don't have any difficulty believing they are new creations in Christ when we are not new physicaly but spiritually.

Yet still believe is a physical new earth.
[Revelation 21:1, "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and ther was no more sea."]

Jesus (God in person) came to his people with a message so critical that he chose not to use a prophet.

The message of thinking beyond the physical and seeing things through the spirit.

Ever wonder why the Holy Spirit was sent during the New Testiment days?

Think spiritual...

This has to occur, so that God can create the new earth.........

Isaih 66:22 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.
66:23 And it shall come to pass, [that] from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.

Greetings,

I have no trouble with a total new heaven and earth or Galaxy for that matter, but there are still plenty of passages in scripture that make me believe at this point this world was not created in vain.

Psalms 78:68, " But chose the tribe of Judah, the mount Zion which he loved. And he built his sanctuary like high palaces, like the earth which he hath established forever."

There are dozen of these passages of the earth standing forever, so in order for 'new heaven and new earth', not to contradict 'earth forever, I would say that it is the ways of this world that are going to change and the governments that rule and reign will be of God.

I would like to add that God probably spent eons preparing the universe for his beloved children in love down to the enth detail. If it weren't for the curse that is upon it and Satan seeking whom he may devour it would be lovely, from the flowers in spring and the warmth of the sun to the moon for a light by night so that we do not stumble and fall. Everything is designed for us to perfection.

I do not see that he created it in vain.

You're right.
God created a perfect world....until man ruined it.

In the day of God's executive Judgment, everything tained with sin, will be destroyed for all time and eternity.

God will have a absolutely pure universe, again....just as it was, before satan messed everything up.

Psa 96:13 Before the LORD: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.

2 Peter 3:7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day [is] with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

the earth is the flesh and the works are the works of the flesh..you know the list? envy, strife, proud, those things that don't inherit the love of God?

what is the fire that burns these things up??

Jer 5:14 Wherefore thus saith the LORD God of hosts, Because ye speak this word, behold, I will make my words in thy mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them.
remember to be careful how we build..whether stubble wood hay gold silver...
sometimes people can be the wood if we build on them, then it could all go up in flames huh?

Rev 11:5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.

I can picture fire breathing people like dragons even..burning eachother up...reminds me of dungeons and dragons..lol..

You know the fire is God's word...and the earth is burned up or purified with the words of his mouth don't ya?

imagine being baptized with fire...
what's it for?

hugs

And we know that God has defined Righteousness as the commandments of God (Psalms 119:172).
And, God has defined the truth as the very same thing.

And, that is HOW things will occur in the days just before Christ's return.

The issue will be over the commandments of God, and the Mark of the Beast scenerio (Oposition to the commandments of God).
