If you don't have absolute trust or faith in yourself...do you expect others to put their trust and faith in you?

Hate to be a latecomer, but...

ok FFT,

here's one way of looking at faith and seeing the evidence of it.

Your parents come together "hoping" for a baby.
They have "faith" that their coming together will produce a baby.
You are the "evidence" of their faith their hope of something unseen.

Hbr 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

you are your own evidence...

Does this still work for me? My parents "hoped" for no baby, they had "faith" in their contraceptive method, and despite all that, "evidently" it didn't work because here I am! Razz

evidently..LOL..I'm a condom baby myself... Razz

But we don't know what was in the subconscious mind of your parents do we?

My mom had just lost a baby two years before I was born. I'm sure on the surface she didn't want to go through the pain again of maybe losing another.
But how did she really feel when she found out she was pregnant? Happy, sad, scared...hopeful...?

I wish she was around so I could ask. I know she told me she loved me a lot...so I didn't feel unwanted.. Wink

Psa 82:1 ¶ [[A Psalm of Asaph.]] God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.
Psa 82:2 How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.
Psa 82:3 Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.
Psa 82:4 Deliver the poor and needy: rid [them] out of the hand of the wicked.

Psa 82:5 They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.

Psa 82:6 I have said, Ye [are] gods; and all of you [are] children of the most High.
Psa 82:7 But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.
Psa 82:8 Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.

FFT,
Do you care for and stand up for those who are afflicted?
Do you defend those who are persecuted by others?
Do you help the poor and needy?

FFT, do you judge others thoughts and actions?

FFT, if you had all faith and all trust in yourself then would others follow you and you would be a god to them.
But because you humble yourself by admitting that you do not have all faith and trust in yourself, then in my eyes you are more honourable than those gods who believe they are more pure and perfect than other gods.

does it matter what I think? nope. because I am no better or no worse than you my friend.

you are free to serve or not serve whomever you choose or not choose. A lot of people are envious and jealous because you have no chains to bear, you have noone else's laws hanging over your head other than the chains and laws you create for yourself.
You do not demand that others follow your way of thinking or doing with consequences of punishments or rewards if they listen to you or not.
You have not set yourself up as a king or a ruler to govern over others, you only govern yourself and your household.

And I am of the opinion that it will be your own conscience that will judge you when you come to the end of your days and are able to look back..and either you will go in peace or you will go in remorse...
and this is your punishment or your reward. And no one can take either from you. Only you can forgive yourself for mistakes or you can bear them till your last breath.
And only you can take pride in the accomplishments you succeeded at.

From the day we are born we have teachers which teach us to walk all different paths...and then their comes a day when we must stand and walk alone.

But you are never alone...because you have you with you..always. You have your beliefs your guidlines, your truth and your understanding. Your knowledge, your hope, and your faith. Just like we all do...

The truth is...you have more faith and trust in yourself than you believe.

Walk in Peace and it will be your greatest reward.

Big Hugs..FFT

No more than I've shown myself to deserve.

Not quite as often as I aspire to, but yes.

I judge other people's actions and words, yes.

Why?
Atheism is a position on belief.

Well said, again, FFT!

So theism is a postion on belief!smile

Um. No. Just taking two opposing ideas and flipping them around doesn't mean anything.

Um. No. Just taking two opposing ideas and flipping them around doesn't mean anything.

You mean flipping 2 opposing words or ideas around does mean nothing?smile

Well, you got the meaning of nothing out of that flipping,
and so nothing does mean something to you!smile

Plus, nothing has lots of meanings as in:

Zero which is something very imporant,

Everything[et] as in reply to 'Thanx so much for everything,' with 'Oh, that was nothing.'

A big deal as in 'You are making a big deal out of nothing or out of the something I call nothing!'

Et as in some one saying sweet nothings to you such as : FFT, you are my everything and everything is you!smile

See?smile

Plus, as in these flips:
no one cares how much I know until they know how much I care.

After all is said than done,
more is always said than done.

God is Love and Love is God.

I am sure you know a lot more flips that are full of meaning both ways.

If you can't get a meaning out of both flips,
you are just not yet loving your opposites.

Giving is taking, and taking is giving.

There is freedom in slavery and slavery in freedom.

With Love in me and with me in Love,
the Love that makes
everything out of nothing,
and
nothing out of everything,smile

I just asked a ? about that in the commandments law forum... Confused or disgusted

If I promise to give you something of my own freewill...
Have I not just enslaved myself to keep a debt by promising something which I didn't have to promise...

I should have just given and not promised...right?

Confused or disgusted

Atheism is a position on belief in disbelief.
Therefore, theism is a position on belief in believing.smile

Does G-d beleive in atheists? He must because He inspired David to speak of them

Psa 14:1 To the choirmaster. Of David. The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds, there is none who does good.

Of course the context of that Psalm does not really bear out secular humanistic atheist but I'm thinking David didn't really know anyone like that.

Towshab,

I am playing around in Love with the 2 meanings of 'believe in:'

1. I believe God exists.
2. I love God.

James 2:
9Thou believest that there is one God;
thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

Demons believe in God in the sense that they know God exists.
But they hate God: they do not believe IN loving God.

Atheists do NOT believe in God in the sense that God does not exist.
They or most also hate God or do not believe IN God.

Atheists who hate God have this problem: they are hating what they think does not exist!
Hmmmmmm
So they, deep down, must also believe God does exist: they just don't want him to exist!
hmmmmmm and we know that there is none so non-believing than those who don't want to believe: God doesn't exist because they do not want God to exist or becuse they do not want to love or believe in God!

So then,
I can turn it around and say:
God does not believe in atheists, so they don't exist: to of course expose the premise of Hate beneath the claim of 'God does not exist.'

So yes, God loves and believes in and knows that atheists exist!

But as He says:
Mainly,
only fools who hate fools and therefore hate God would say that God does not exist and hate God as nonexistent!

Now there can be wise and/or fools who love fools who can also entertain the normal & natural idea that God does not exist BUT it will be always in Love of fools and of God as existing and as non-existing!
see?

What do you think?

in Love of theists and atheists, creationists and evolutionists,
atoz

I BELIEVE IN MUSIC
by
Mac Davis (1970)

I could just sit around, making music all day long.
As long as I'm making my music ain't gonna do nobody no harm.
And who knows, maybe I'll come up with a song
To make people want to stop all this fussing and fighting
Long enough to sing along.

CHORUS:
I believe in music
I believe in Love
I believe in music
I believe in Love.

Music is Love and Love is music if you know what I mean
People who believe in music [in Love!]are the happiest people I've ever seen
So clap your hands and stomp your feet and shake those tambourines
Lift your voices to the sky; tell me what you see.

(CHORUS)
I believe in music
I believe in Love
I believe in music
I believe in Love.

Music[Love] is the universal language, and Love is the key
To peace hope and understanding, and living in harmony
So take your brother by the hand and come along with me
Lift your voices to the sky, tell me what you see.

I believe in music
I believe in Love
I believe in music
I believe in Love.

No, God does not believe in athiests because they do not have Him, therefore they don't have life (do not exist), they are dead in sin. Sure they might be doing the motions but are living in a false reality where as we Christians understand the truth of things. Whether or not athiests believe in God is irrelevent, Go is eternal.

Exactly!

1 Timothy 5:
6But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth.

Luke 9:
60Jesus said unto him,
Let the dead bury their dead:
but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.

With the Life of Love that makes us
doubly alive when alive,
and
still alive even when dead, John 11:25-26,
