Hi luvnlife, I understand that your going to start this study. the name of the forum is: "The Alfa Bible Study."
When you get there start a new thread, give it a name, & start the study.

I have entered the 3 of you, Atoz, bitterlily & yourself.
You should all be able to see the study now. Go back to the forum list, it should be the first fourm below the one were in now. See you over there.

Oh! you will find a lot of threads over there. none of the members are there any more so they won't answer you.
I do have a thread right at the top that you can talk to each other without disturbing your study.

until the door is opened I'll just toss a thought or two here and catch up with you when I can.

We shall reign as "Kings" and "Priests" with him.

In Genesis when The "Priest of the Lord" Melchisadek comes to meet Abram after the slaughter...
Also present is the "King" of Sodom.

When Jesus departs the wilderness after battling Satan, he is met by "Angels" who minister to him...
maybe they bring him bread and wine?

I'm having trouble figuring out who gave who tithes...

Gen 14:17 ¶ And the king of Sodom went out to meet him after his return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer, and of the kings that [were] with him, at the valley of Shaveh, which [is] the king's dale.
Gen 14:18 ¶ And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he [was] the priest of the most high God.
Gen 14:19 And he blessed him, and said, Blessed [be] Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth:
Gen 14:20 And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.

Gen 14:21 ¶ And the king of Sodom said unto Abram, Give me the persons, and take the goods to thyself.
Gen 14:22 And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the LORD, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth,
Gen 14:23 That I will not [take] from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I will not take any thing that [is] thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich:
Gen 14:24 Save only that which the young men have eaten, and the portion of the men which went with me, Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre; let them take their portion.

All this will I give unto you if you will bow down and worship me.. Idea

who appears as an angel of light..

Notice that Melchisadek recognizes Abram as possesor of heaven and earth. And Abram says he has sworn an oath to God the possesor of heaven and earth that he will not take anything that is thine.

I know it looks like there are two people having a discussion with Abram...But I'm thinking he's having a conversation with himself..

The bible says that Abram divided himself against the kings he went out to battle.
After this he is given a vision concerning different kinds of animals. There are two pigions which are not divided.

and the Lord passed between the pieces:

Melchisadek means the Priest of Peace... We Go In Peace, we walk In Him.

Maybe somewhere along the line we could have a study on bread...

bread of consolation...bread of tribulation.. how to know the difference when we're breaking it with eachother.
Do we feed people with the bread of sorrow or the bread of consolation?

And how to be happy with the bread that's set before us.
whether tribulation or consolation..

and knowing when we're full...LOL..

just tossin it out there.
