This phrase is used within the Hebrew frame in reference to the beginning of Yom Teruah or the Feast of the Trumpets, since it is a "new moon" feast and depends upon sighting the new moon before it can begin. It might be +/- a day and even though it can be given as one of these few days no one knows ahead of time.

Yom Teruah/Feast of Trumpets is the next yet unfulfilled feast day on God's calendar. The spring feasts have all been fulfilled exactly on time and through the agency of Jesus Christ.

On the feast of the Trumpets there is a string of trumpet blasts and on the last one (the last trump) the feast begins.

For those of you who claim to know the timing of the end times and cite "no man knows..." are showing ignorance.

Likewise those who fail to understand the parable of the 10 Virgins will themselves fail to meet their savior in the air and be doomed to go through the apocalypse with your own strength.

Clearly Jesus is preparing His own marriage chamber and God the father will give the final approval and Jesus will come for His bride (the mystical church out of all denominations, countries, and ethnic groups) maybe even SDA's and JW's who knows.

The bride of Christ will not be on Earth during the great tribulation, this 'bride' and Christ will be enjoying their marriage chamber in heaven during the "Hell on Earth" week of Years. Until it is time for Christ and the saints to emerge and take charge, imprisoning Satan for a thousand years in the Pit.

NO man knows the hour of Jesus' coming since it is God the father that provides the timing but those who study like those ten Virgins will find themselves worthy to enter into that bridal chamber. But the fulfillment of Yom Kippur/ feast of atonement will be the foundation for that great tribulation.

Hi 45N,

maybe no one knows the day or hour since no one knows the day or hour when God will come to him as Love, and in that sense come back.

When you are full of Love,
hasn't Jesus Christ come back in you?

When you are in Love,
aren't you in heaven where JC is?

1 John 4:
16And we have known and believed the Love that God hath to us.
God is love;
and
he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God,
and God in him.

With God in you and you in God,
atoz

The problem my dear Atoz is that anyone with commonsense can figure out the day and the hour, since the whole program is laid out in God's calendar and all it takes is a little reading.

While one can figure it out without love, one cannot qualify for it without love, since loving God and loving our neighbor is the requirements.

45deg, I believe also that the feast of trumpets was a type & foreshadow of the eschatological events that would bring the end of the age. I also concur that they are all fulfilled through the agency of Jesus Christ.

Regarding the last, or 7th trumpet, Revelation 11 says
Quote:
15And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

16And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,

17Saying, We give thee thanks, O LORD God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.

18And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

19And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.

Unless we read things into it, does verse 15 not make it sound like the millenial reign begins at the 7th trumpet?

Does verse 18 not make it sound as though the final Judgement (which premills believe is the Great White Throne judgement, 1007 years after the last trumpet sounds), occurs at the sounding of this trumpet?

And what does verse 19 mean to you?

One problem with reading prophecy is that things are written that will come eventually but not right away and it sometimes confuses people.

Millennium doesn't start until Christ arrives on Earth and takes full command and Satan is put into the pit, until that time it is only by rights not in actuality.

Millennium is a fulfillment of the feast of the Tabernacles, a time where everyone alive must come to Jerusalem and make offerings to God or plagues will occur wherever they refuse. Study about this feast and the events that occur during it.

That is based on a timeline derived from Rev 20. There are a few things that premills believe based on Rev 20 that seem to conflict with passages elsewhere in the Bible. If timelines derived from various passages don't seem to agree, isn't it possible we're not looking at something correctly?

Is there a scripture that backs your claim that Jesus is not in command "in actuality" and only "by rights"?

With all due respect, bro, I would ask you the same question for you have never answered my question about being only on the 6th head of the beast at the writing of revelation with the 7th and 8th (with the ten kings) still to come.

Even if we accept Revelation as being written shortly before 70AD, it would still not allow time. It also doesn't take into account the OT prophecies that **beginning** with Jerusalem, the cup would then pass to all nations.

All this requires time.

Mojo, I read through Rev 17 again the other day and got a few more things out of it. I'll put it together eventually. I'll put up a new thread on that soon as I can. Didn't get to it yesterday.
Thanks for keeping after me on this! # Smile2

We read that no man will know the day nor the hour of His coming, Mat.24, Mk.13:32 but, nowhere do we read any rebuttal of ability to know the month or year.
Not that one suggests any man knows that either, but a study of Dan.12, the 1290 days and 1330 days, we find, by doing the conversion from Jewish calander to Julian, adding 390 years for the building of the temple, that we finish up in 2007.
One does NOT state nor claim that this calculation is prophetic nor necessarily correct, but it is an interesting point.
The foolish virgin slept through the coming, the wise virgin were prayed up and ready to go.
One suggests these are the very elect of Mat.24:24, who do not taste death and are caught up, alive, 1 Thes.4:15-16.
They were not procrastinating about interpretations, meanings, 'my church vs. your church', 'my pastor says', and are solely believing, keeping their mind engulfed in His Word.

Jesus Christ knows the day and the hour.

As soon as HE got back to heaven He knew.

And after probation closes, for the last person on earth. He will reveal it to us.

Yes, I do.

From the below Scriptures.....Judgment Day must be finished, before...Jesus Christ comes again......

Revelation 22:10 And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.

22:11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.

22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward [is] with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
