OK. I'll bite. The post you are referring to has had numerous hits.
Are you saying that you don't believe salvation as a topic has been covered on this forum (because I'm certain it has been discussed many times).
Are you saying that you don't believe we are Christians if we don't respond to that post?
Just looking for clarification.....

I guess I'm looking for people's opinions on how Salvation is obtained.
There are 2 parts to the Plan of salvation.
And, the vast majority of the Christian world only focuses on one part, leaving out the part that actually gets a person into heaven. |

| According to scripture, I believe salvation is obtained by believing in Jesus Christ. John 3:18, 36. Believing to me is having Christ dwell in our hearts by faith, being rooted and grounded in His love. 1 Thessalonians 5:9-10, puts it so beatifully, "For God has not appointed us to wrath, but TO OBTAIN SALVATION BY OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST, who died for US, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him." There was nothing I could do He freely gave Himself for us all. (That is how I define grace.) |

That is so easy to say, BUT so hard to do !
The determining factor comes down to obedience, in what Jesus tells us to do.......
Luke 6:46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say ?
This is where millions of people who call themselves Christians, fail.
Prime example......Christ, Speaking here.....
20:12 Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I [am] the LORD that sanctify them.
20:19 I [am] the LORD your God; walk in my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them;
20:20 And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I [am] the LORD your God.

It is the true Biblical concept of what Salvation means that people have failed to understand.
Without a Biblical understanding of what the Bible defines as sin, there is no Salvation.
BECAUSE...salvation is 'FROM' sin......
Matthew 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
QUESTION: If a person still commits sin, how can it be said that they have been 'saved from sin', if they still do it ?

Are you aware that God gave Grace, as a free gift....to provide men/women with the power to obey what God says to do ?
