Celery is a remedy for gout.
Celery, neutralizes uric acid in the body.
The immediate cause of gout is an excessive amount of uric acid in the body, from eating too many sweets and starchy foods.
Uric acid forms hard crystals in the joints that cause very painful conditions.
The pain hits suddenly.
When uric acid crystals collect in the kidneys, serious kidney damage may follow.
Excess spillage of uric acid into the urine may produce kidney stones.
Celery seed contains about 20 different anti-inflammatory agents.
Celery seed also contains a diuretic substance that cuses pounds of excess water to drain away, and has been used for weight loss.
Celery, also is used to relive high Blood pressure.
Celery, is high in apigenin, a chemical that expands the blood vessels and helps prevent high blood pressure
It has lowered blood sugar levels in diabetes.
Sciatica ,is a painful inflammation of the scatic nerve which runs down the back of the thigh and leg.
Celery seed tea, helps this condition. |

Thanks for that Silver..
Once in awhile I'll have a hotdog or two, and I use mustard and celery salt as the condiments.

Silver;
That is very interesting.
Another interesting fact is that celery used to be thought of as a food with little to no nutrional value.

Luv | You know what....I use to think that way also, that Celery had no nutritional value.
Oh, I heard it provided sodium to the body and that was about it.
So, imagine my surprise when I came across that info I shared with you ! |
