1 cor 15:

1Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

2By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

3For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

4And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

This is very important in understanding the gospel that paul preached. This gospel was not taught paul by men, but by revealation of Jesus christ.

gal 1:

11But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.

12For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ

Jesus christ had to reveal to paul who he died for, for it was a mystery otherwise..

Jesus christ revealed or made known to paul what to preach, as he does the same for his sent ones today.

I like to focus on that part of the gospel, who is this christ that died for our sins as paul termed it ?

Remember peters confession in matt 16:

13When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?

14And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.

15He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

16And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

17And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

This profound statement should give us to know, that something supernatural about christ person is involved here, something natural understanding cannot give about who christ is..

Peter again made a very similar statement in jn 6:

66From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.

67Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?

68Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.

69And we believe[the disciples] and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.

Now, who is this christ, what does this mean ?

The word christ is:

Christ = "anointed"

1) Christ was the Messiah, the Son of God

2) anointed

So He is the anointed one, The Son Of God. Now, when was He anointed ?

Now, as to being anointed, you cant anoint Deity, For Deity does the anointing, but you anoint a man a person..

So when was this person anointed as the christos ?

I believe the bible teaches he was anointed before the world began.

in the proverbs chpt 8:

21That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.

22The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.

23I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.

Now, to the discerning eye, this wisdom is the person of the Lord Jesus christ, Gods wisdom with whom He made the worlds..

heb 1:

2Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

jer 10:

12He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion.

Now look at 1 cor 1:

23But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

24But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

Now it certainly appears, that from this, christ the anointed one was present with God the Father as the wisdom of God and the Power of God through whom He created the worlds.

But returning back to prov 8:23 where it states, I was set up !

The hebrew for set up is nacak which means :

1) to pour out, pour, offer, cast

a) (Qal)

1) to pour out

2) to cast metal images

3) to anoint (a king)

b) (Niphal) to be anointed

c) (Piel) to pour out (as a libation)

d) (Hiphil) to pour out libations

e) (Hophal) to be poured out

2) to set, install

a) (Qal) to install

b) (Niphal) to be installed

Amen, I believe that God is teaching his children, that The Lord Jesus christ, The GodMan Mediator was set up, anointed as prophet, priest and king, the oil of anointing pour out upon him, from everlasting. .He was installed into His thrice holy offices.see

heb 5:5,6

For this to be true, he therefore would have existed as the GodMan Mediator from everlasting. .

micah confirms this mic 5:

2But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

The ruler of Israel, The king, The prince, whose going forth have been from of old, from everlasting. .

Does not this prove that He existed from everlasting as the the great king, ruler ?

For this cause , He is called the ancient of days..

dan 7:

9I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.[see ezk 1:26-28]

Surely this depicts a GodMan with hair like pure wool..

where else do we see a similar desccription ?

rev 1:

14His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;

This is surely the same GodMan, The Glorified Jesus christ.. let us look at the context of rev 1:

14His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;

15And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.

16And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.

17And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:

18I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

He, the ancient of days, whose hair was as wool, is the First and last,[was dead] this clearly depicts the eternity of the GodMan Mediator. [Only the man was dead]

Now John sees him as the glorifed risen christ, but he was always the Glorifed Jesus christ Son of God[ ancient of days], from everlasting. .

Look at daniels vision in 10:

13I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.

In the previous verse 9 the ancient of days is seen as the son of God, if we believe rev 1, but in this verse, the ancient of days appears to be the Father God. Do we have a contradiction here ?

No, in fact this is a good passage to confirm The Trinity, the One Essence of the God Head, both the Father and the Son are the ancient of days, the son of man is the ancient of days in vs 9..

But also remeber that John 1:1

1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

The word the son of God, the ancient of days was God..

What a great mystery , and only few are able to recieve it.

Now lets go back to peter and his confession of christ as the son of the Living God in jn 6:

68Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.

69And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.

Now, belieivng christ is the son of God, is belieivng that he as a man, came from God..Jesus claimed this in vs 38:

38For I[ as a man] came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

also 62

62What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he[son of man] was before?

jn 3:

13And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he[man] that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

Clearly this again speaks to The GodMan Mediator being a man, The son of man, before his incarnation. .

Please, lets look at jn 17:

8For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I[GodMan] came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.

Now this statement in jn 17 8 is connected to what was said in jn 16:

27For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me,[prov 8:21] and have believed that I[GodMan] came out from God.

28I[as GodMan] came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I[GodMan] leave the world, and go to the Father.

29His disciples said unto him, Lo, now speakest thou plainly, and speakest no proverb.

30Now are we sure that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any man should ask thee: by this we believe that thou[GodMan] camest forth from God.

Amen, this is a well established truth, that the disciples were taught by Jesus christ, His eternal exisitence as GodMan Mediator, and His disciples were given Faith to believe who he was..

This is very important to know and understand, that Jesus christ was GodMan before creation, because within this blessed Truth realizes that He as a man had a seed within Him.

Its this seed in him, given to him by the Father in election by grace, that he would one day become flesh and blood and redeem them from the curse of the Law, they would incur from their fall in their natural head adam..

This is why it was crucial for Him to be set up From everlasting as the GodMan Mediator of His people.

This seed was in him when he died as their kinsman redeemer..

It had to be in him before the incarnation in order to come and redeem it through taking on flesh and blood..

On this confession of faith lies the person and work of Jesus christ..

This is the rock of confession which Jesus christ will build His church[bride/ wife] and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it..

The gates of hell, all the false doctrines, humanism, that satan can organize, cannot defeat the truth from which christ church[bride/ wife] is built..

He is the GodMan Mediator, The anointed prince, from everlasting, in covenant with His Father and Holy Ghost, to redeem his seed from their sins..

It is this christ, That paul says, died for our sins..the sins of his seed, his bride, his church, those given to him as their GodMan Mediator before the world began..

Jesus christ says his church is built upon this truth. His church is his bride, his wife, who is one with him eph 5:

23For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

24Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

25Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

26That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

27That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

28So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

29For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:

30For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

31For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.

32This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

This is the great mystery that was revealed to paul as the gospel, as to who christ died for. The church, His bride, his body, who he was one with. It is for those who were one with him, bone of his bone, flesh of his flesh, his spouse in him [as eve was in adam], this is for whom He died and loved..

Is this the gospel you believe and teach ? If not, then you preach a false gospel..and not the christ paul preached or I preach..

May God be pleased to bless His chosen ones and all for whom christ died, for christ sake..amen

Beloved, you wrote, "Is this the gospel you believe and teach ? If not, then you preach a false gospel... and not the Christ Paul preached or I preach."

Wow, that is a pretty strong accusation... to say that if someone does not preach the Gospel according to YOUR beliefs, then they are preaching a false gospel. Such an attitude is both judgmental and arrogant, and I pray you will see (in the course of this post) that this is not God's attitude.

AN ATTITUDE OF ARROGANCE

The disciples struggled with an attitude of arrogance, as well, and the holy Spirit saw fit to record what Christ thinks about such an attitude in the Gospel of Luke.

Luke 9:51-56 records that when the time had come for Jesus to be received up, He set His face to go to Jerusalem. So He sent messengers before His face; and, as they went, they entered a village of the Samaritans, to prepare for Him. But the village did not receive Him, because His face was set for Jerusalem. Now when His disciples James and John (the beloved) saw this, they said to Him, "Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did?" But He turned and rebuked them, and said, "You do not know what manner of spirit you are of. For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them."

The disciples thought they were more than they actually were. They thought they were better, like they knew more, or were more important than others. They felt superior, and thought they had divine right to judge others and condemn them for their beliefs. But Jesus rebuked that attitude and told them, "You do not know what manner of spirit you are of." Rest assured, my friend, they were not acting in the spirit of Christ, because (as Jesus had to remind them) "the Son of Man did not come to destroy men's lives but to save them."

AN ATTITUDE OF JUDGMENT

This thread also displays an attitude of judgment. The attitude that a man has the right to judge (and thus condemn) a Christian brother (simply because their brother's beliefs do not align perfectly with theirs) is not an attitude from Christ.

Luke 9:49-50 records that John (the beloved) said to Jesus, "Master, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, and we forbade him because he does not follow us." But Jesus said to him, "Do not forbid him, for he who is not against us is on our side."

No one on this site or (in fact) in all of Christendom is against you. They are all on your side, working with you, doing what they can to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ the best way they know how. Yes, they might hold different beliefs in certain areas, but that doesn't mean they preach a false gospel.

FOLLOWING CHRIST'S EXAMPLE

Even though someone might not agree with all of your teachings, it does not mean they preach a false gospel. It simply means they don't agree with all of your teachings.

Paul made the comment in Philippians 1:15-18 that "it is true that some preach about Christ because they are jealous and ambitious, but others preach about Christ because they want to help. They preach because they have love, and they know that God gave me the work of defending the Good News. But the others preach about Christ for selfish and wrong reasons, wanting to make trouble for me in prison. But it doesn't matter. The important thing is that in every way, whether for right or wrong reasons, they are preaching about Christ. So I am happy, and I will continue to be happy."

Paul did not judge the way other people preached the gospel. He was just happy to see the gospel being preached. But, was his attitude wrong? I don't think so, because he encouraged his disciples in I Corinthians 11:1 to "imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ."

DO NOT JUDGE ANYONE

Jesus is our example. We should endeavor to have Christ's attitude: to do what He did, to speak what He spoke, and to think what He thought. And what did He say about judgmental attitudes? Let's start with God the Father...

In John 5:22, Jesus said, "the Father judges no one." Did you hear that? God judges no one! God Almighty, the supreme Judge of the universe, judges no one! But instead, "has committed all judgment to the Son."

So, then, who does Jesus judge? In John 8:15, Jesus tells us that while "you judge according to the flesh; I judge no one. Did you hear that? Jesus judges no one! Jesus Christ, the Anointed of God, Savior of the world, judges no one!

So, what are we supposed to do, then? Jesus tells us what to do. In Luke 6:37 He commanded us, saying, "Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned." Whenever we judge our brother, for whatever reason, we are already outside the mind of Christ and disobeying His direct command.

LET THEM GROW TOGETHER

Some people actually believe they have some sort of divine right to confront people and judge their beliefs and accuse them of preaching a false gospel; but rest assured, my friend, attitudes of arrogance and condemnation are not from Christ.

In John 12:47, Jesus said, "if anyone hears My words and doesn't believe them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world.

But, you might think, "It's my job to uproot the weeds! I have to purify the body of Christ! That's my job!" The truth is, that is no one's job. Christ does not want His body purified by you or me or anyone else.

In Matthew 13:24-30 Jesus told us this parable: "The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat and went his way. But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the weeds also appeared. So the servants of the owner came and said to him, 'Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have weeds?' He said to them, 'An enemy has done this.' The servants said to him, 'Do you want us then to go and pull them up?' But he said, 'No, lest while you pull up the weeds you also uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest'."

Did you hear what our Lord commanded? He said, "Let them grow together." It's not your job or my job or anyone else's job to pull up the weeds. Let them grow together with the wheat. Don't worry about them. Leave them alone.

And when you can do this, when you can leave the weeds alone and allow them to grow together with the wheat, and not judge them, then you will have the attitude of Christ.

Smiles to you, brother.
