|
|
When Daniel describes the fourth beast, he makes it clear that this beast is totally different from the rest; it is dreadful and terrible, exceedingly strong. With its teeth it devoured and with its feet it broke into pieces whatever stood in its way. As he was observing this very unique beast, Daniel says ( Dan. 7:8).
The fourth, non-descript beast is identified as the Great Roman Empire. The little horn and the ten horns are the future antichrist who arises from a coalition of ten nations that have resurrected the Holy Roman Empire.
The fourth beast, Rome had iron teeth, denoting that Rome would be the iron kingdom, a kingdom of military power; a fierce fighting machine that would trample anyone who intefered with it's agenda.
People who believe the fourth beast will be a revised Holy Roman Empire ( Euopperian) Empire like to trumpet the economic power of the EU and their amassing political clout. However, I would argue that the oil producing nations are the ones swimming in money, and with billions in assets not to mention the resource that the entire world depends on-oil- it is the Muslim countries who are currently displaying political power.
Any more thoughts?

I'm afraid you're wrong. Rome is not the 4th beast kingdom. Daniel tells us that Greece is the first beast, therefore Rome can't be the 4th.
It's a mistake we've all made because we've **assumed** that the vision about the statue parallels the 4 beasts, but it doesn't.

MoJo, I argued that it wasn't. I believe it is a revised Islamic kingdom. The Ottoman Turks were a powerful empire for 400 years.
