Hello to the group .

In trying to understand the wording vs actual meaning of biblical scripture I believe I may be missing something concerning the head Teffilin and where it is truly supposed to be worn .

Citing scripture:

And it shall be for a sign for you upon your hand, and for a memorial between your eyes, that the law of the LORD may be in your mouth; for with a strong hand did the LORD bring you out of Egypt" — Exodus 13:9

"And it shall be for a sign upon your hand, and as totafot between your eyes; for with a mighty hand did the LORD bring us forth out of Egypt" — Exodus 13:16

"And you shall bind them as a sign upon your arm, and they shall be as totafot between your eyes" — Deuteronomy 6:8

Therefore you shall lay these words of mine in your heart and in your soul; and you shall bind them for a sign upon your arm, and they shall be as totafot between your eyes" — Deuteronomy 11:18

I have some certain evidence that at least one person from antiquity wore the Head Tefillin directly on top of the head and not on the fore section of the head and this evidence comes from a wonderfull source that I am very much willing to share with you . One of the many problems I am having is reading the actual word or Hebrew " if it is Hebrew " letter on this Tefillin . I could certainly use some help with this .

If the Hebrew word for the item translates to Tefillin , could there possibly be another and earlier language name for this item and could someone such as Abraham or Melchizedek have worn a simliar square shaped item on the head ?

Kind regards to all .
