i will stand my *watch* and set me upon the tower *and* will watch to *see* what HE will say unto me...i was in the SPIRIT on the LORD's day and heard behind me a great voice as of a trumpet....which said, "come up hither, and *I will show thee the things which must be hereafter."*...and i saw the seven angels which stood before GOD, and to them were given seven trumpets and the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound...the first angel sounded....and the second angel sounded...and the third angel sounded....and the fourth angel sounded...and i beheld and heard an angel...saying with a loud voice, woe, woe, *woe, to the inhabitors of the earth* by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels which are yet to sound!...and the fifth angel sounded...and the sixeth angel sounded...and i saw another mighty angel come down from heaven...and he had in his hand a little book open, and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot upon the earth, and cried with a loud voice...and when he cried, seven thunders uttered their voices...and the angel which i saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven and sware to HIM who liveth for ever and ever....that there should be time no longer: but in the days of the voice of the seveneth angel...the mystery of GOD should be finished, as HE hath declared to *HIS servants the prophets*...."blow ye the trumpet in zion....for the indignation of the LORD is upon all nations and HIS fury upon all armies....let the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD *cometh*, a day of darkness and gloom...*like dawn spreading across the mountains* a large army comes...*before them fire devours. behind them a flame blazes*...nothing shall escape them...*at the sight of them nations are in anguish*...before them the earth shakes, the sky trembles, the sun and moon are darkened...the LORD thunders at the head of HIS army; *mighty are those that obey HIS command."*
then said i..."when shall these things be?"....HE said..."no one knows the day or hour...but only the FATHER...the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end...for behold *the day cometh* that shall burn as an oven...and all the proud and all *that* do wickedly, yea, they shall be stubble...."saith the LORD..."but unto you that fear MY name shall the sun of righteousness arise with healing in HIS wings...I will redeem you with outstretched arm and with great judgements...*ye shall go forth...and ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under your feet* Wink

in the day that i shall do this..." then said i, "ah LORD GOD, i cannot...i am for peace...for it is written...love you enemies..."
and the voice i heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said,"behold the former things have come to pass and *a new thing do I declare:* before they spring up I tell you of them...*the wise shall understand*...*go* and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel..." and i went unto the angel, and said unto him, "give me the little book"...then i looked and saw a hand stretched out to me, a roll of a book was therein and he spread it before me...and there was written therein lamentations and mourning and woe. moreover HE said unto me, "son of man, eat what is before you, eat this roll...take it, eat it up; it shall make thy belly bitter but it shall be in thy mouth as sweet as honey." so i opened my mouth...and i took the little book out of the angels hand and HE caused me to eat that roll and it was in my mouth as sweet a honey: and HE said unto me..."cause thy belly to eat, and fill thy bowels with this roll that i give thee." ...then did i eat it: and it was in my mouth as honey for sweetness...and as soon as i had eaten it, my belly was bitter. then said i..."ah LORD GOD...do not i hate them that hate thee?...i hate them with perfect hatred: i count them my enemies...because my enemies have forsaken THY word."
the SPIRIT then lifted me up and took me away and i went in bitterness and the anger of my spirit, with the strong hand of the LORD upon me...to execute venegence upon the heathen and punishments upon the people; to *execute upon them the judgement written*: this honor have all HIS saints...that thy foot may be dipped in the blood of thy enemies...*praise ye the LORD...*

Amen, theseldomscene!

You are surely what you eat. And the word of God is the meat of our daily bread. It is His will that sustains the man of God, His servants. It is His truth that turns the stomach bitter, as if in birthpains and labor. The difference in the food of God's word, and the food of the god of this earth, is that God's word is released off of the lips of the man of God, and lives, and saves, and brings fruition and life to God's plans here on earth and in heaven; while the food of the god of this earth becomes defiled, and becomes the food of worms and creeping things and death, and returns to dust just as flesh does.

Before I read this post I thought it was about earthly nutrition because I have heard this phrase you used in the title so often by those self righteous who want us all to eat some form of vegetarian diet.

Given this content it is good an true, thanks for reminding us.
