Ok so maybe i'm going out on a limb on this one, but i'm going to see where it leads anyways.
there's not many references, but there are a few, and I would like to know your thoughts on the matter...ready hehehe ok
six hundred threescore and six (666)
Revelations 13:18; Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is six hundred threescore and six.
The above is the only reference to this specific number in the new testament.
1 Kings 10:14; Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred threescore and six talents of gold.
2 Chronicles 9:13; Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred threescore and six talents of gold.
Ezra 2:13; The children of Adonikam, six hundred sixy and six.
However,
Nehemiah 7:18; The children of Adonikam, six hundred threescore and seven.
word search needed for gold, talent, and why did the number of children of Adonikam change by one. Who are the children of Adonikam, and who is Adonikam?
Now i'm probably reaching on this but i'll venture out a little, you with me?
Revelations 17:9-11
Here is the mind which has wisdom: The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits.
There are also seven kings. Five have fallen, one is, and the other has not yet come.
And when he comes, he must continue a short time.
The beast that was, and is not, is himself also the eigth, and is of the seven, and is going to perdition.
one is...Ezra 2:13
the other has not yet come...Nehemiah 7:18
the beast that was.... before ezra 2:13
and is not....Nehemiah 7:18
is himself also the eighth....after Nehemiah 7:18
( gold, talent, Adonikam)
maybe they relate to eachother somehow, I dont know?
There's a mind out there that has wisdom, where are you??? _________________ Joh 15:14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

Ecc 3:18 I said in mine heart concerning the estate of the "sons of men", that God might manifest them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts.
Psalm 73:22 So foolish [was] I, and ignorant: I was [as] a beast before thee.
Jude 1:10 But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.
2Peter 2:12 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;
Psalm 49:12 Nevertheless man [being] in honour abideth not: he is like the beasts [that] perish.
Psalm 49:20 MAN [that is] in honour, and understandeth not, is like the beasts [that] perish.

Concerning the Image theres various other keywords in comparing spiritual with spiritual here but heres a few note the weight of GOLD that came to Solomon.
2Ch 9:13 Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred and threescore and six talents of gold;
Dan 3:1 Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, whose height [was] threescore cubits, [and] the breadth thereof six cubits: he set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon.
Theres an "Image" to bow to in Rev and the refusal to by Daniels freinds and cast into the Fire where there was NO HURT, the fire had no power over them... Sound familiar?
Rev 2:11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.
Key words, are Image, Gold, Fire, Not Hurt, No power, compare with Second Death, Lake of Fire, Furnace and Torment stay only on what scriptures say. This one is more extensive but see if any light bulbs go on or if that a particular verse is quicken assume nothing just wait on the Lord.
Have fun

I know that men are as beasts, but is there a leader of the beasts, or a father of beasts.
NCbornandraised is raising some issues as to who the beast is.
I'm going to try to get it down to the original beast.
However what I think we'll find is PRIDE.
not sure so here goes:
so i'm starting with the word pride...
Lv:26:19: And I will break the pride of your power; and I will make your heaven as iron, and your earth as brass:
Lv:26:20: And your strength shall be spent in vain: for your land shall not yield her increase, neither shall the trees of the land yield their fruits.
Lv:26:21: And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins.
already I see a relation to plagues and I haven't even started.
Jb:33:17: That he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man.
Jb:33:18: He keepeth back his soul from the pit, and his life from perishing by the sword.
Jb:41:15: His scales are his pride, shut up together as with a close seal.
Jb:41:16: One is so near to another, that no air can come between them.
Jb:41:17: They are joined one to another, they stick together, that they cannot be sundered.
Jb:41:18: By his neesings a light doth shine, and his eyes are like the eyelids of the morning.
Jb:41:19: Out of his mouth go burning lamps, and sparks of fire leap out.
Jb:41:20: Out of his nostrils goeth smoke, as out of a seething pot or caldron.
Jb:41:21: His breath kindleth coals, and a flame goeth out of his mouth.
Jb:41:22: In his neck remaineth strength, and sorrow is turned into joy before him.
Jb:41:23: The flakes of his flesh are joined together: they are firm in themselves; they cannot be moved.
Jb:41:34: He beholdeth all high things: he is a king over all the children of pride.
Jb:41:1: Canst thou draw out leviathan with an hook? or his tongue with a cord which thou lettest down?
I would say this looks like a dragon, however is made of flesh.
Ps:10:4: The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.
Ps:36:11: Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me.
Ps:36:12: There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and shall not be able to rise.
babylon is fallen, fallen. cast down into the pit. I can see some resemblance here.
Ps:73:6: Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain; violence covereth them as a garment.
Prv:8:13: The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
Prv:16:18: Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.
this says a lot. Pride goes before destruction.
Is:16:6: We have heard of the pride of Moab; he is very proud: even of his haughtiness, and his pride, and his wrath: but his lies shall not be so.
Is:16:7: Therefore shall Moab howl for Moab, every one shall howl: for the foundations of Kirhareseth shall ye mourn; surely they are stricken
Is:28:1: Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty is a fading flower, which are on the head of the fat valleys of them that are overcome with wine!
Jer:13:9: Thus saith the Lord, After this manner will I mar the pride of Judah, and the great pride of Jerusalem.
Jer:13:10: This evil people, which refuse to hear my words, which walk in the imagination of their heart, and walk after other gods, to serve them, and to worship them, shall even be as this girdle, which is good for nothing.
Jer:49:10: But I have made Esau bare, I have uncovered his secret places, and he shall not be able to hide himself: his seed is spoiled, and his brethren, and his neighbours, and he is not.
Jer:49:13: For I have sworn by myself, saith the Lord, that Bozrah shall become a desolation, a reproach, a waste, and a curse; and all the cities thereof shall be perpetual wastes.
Jer:49:14: I have heard a rumour from the Lord, and an ambassador is sent unto the heathen, saying, Gather ye together, and come against her, and rise up to the battle.
Jer:49:16: Thy terribleness hath deceived thee, and the pride of thine heart, O thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, that holdest the height of the hill: though thou shouldest make thy nest as high as the eagle, I will bring thee down from thence, saith the Lord.
Jer:49:17: Also Edom shall be a desolation: every one that goeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss at all the plagues thereof.
Ob:1:1: The vision of Obadiah. Thus saith the Lord GOD concerning Edom; We have heard a rumour from the Lord, and an ambassador is sent among the heathen, Arise ye, and let us rise up against her in battle.
Ob:1:2: Behold, I have made thee small among the heathen: thou art greatly despised.
Ob:1:3: The pride of thine heart hath deceived thee, thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, whose habitation is high; that saith in his heart, Who shall bring me down to the ground?
Ob:1:4: Though thou exalt thyself as the eagle, and though thou set thy nest among the stars, thence will I bring thee down, saith the Lord.
I should have put this under similtudes,,
You can compare this with revelations.
Pride is the Beast, and everyone that boasts themselves over God will fall.
The Beast is already in the world, since the world began it has been here.
It's just every now and then it rears its ugly head, and God has to tear it down.
Every generation of the earth has a Beast.
Now it's our turn to overcome the MARK of PRIDE.
what say you?? _________________ Joh 15:14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

Amen Lone, I also will add some verses to look at further as well.
Jb:41:15: His scales are his pride, shut up together as with a close seal.
Psalm 73:32 So foolish [was] I, and(( ignorant)): I was [as] a beast before thee.
Acts 9:18 And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been ((scales))
Appears knowledge that puffs up is not true seeing, shut up together under the law?
Romans 14:23 for whatsoever [is] not of faith is sin.
Man of Sin revealed? Through the law comes the knowledge of "sin". Note the words above SHUT UP... another keyword
Gal 3:23 But (((before faith came))) we were ((kept under)) the law, ((shut up)) unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
Kept under? Sound like sea serpent to you? Scales (Ignorance pride) Thinking one knows something is not knowing as one ought.
SHUT UP together God hath bound all men over to disobedience that He might have mercy on them.
The "man of sin" is revealed in us, thats why one is considered deceived when they beleive they are "without sin", yet God says the deceived and the deceiver are His.
Mark what?
Romans 16:17 Now I beseech you, brethren, MARK them which (((cause divisions))) and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and AVOID THEM.
Isaiah 44:20 He feedeth on ashes: a deceived heart hath turned him aside, that he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, [Is there] not a "lie in my right hand"?
Mark in right hand, kool study, I'm so there
Psalm 26:10 In whose hands [is] mischief, and their "right hand" is full of bribes.
Rev 13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
I'll add more later
In Him

Eccl:12:8: Vanity of vanities, saith the preacher; all is vanity.
Eccl:12:9: And moreover, because the preacher was wise, he still taught the people knowledge; yea, he gave good heed, and sought out, and set in order many proverbs.
Eccl:12:10: The preacher sought to find out acceptable words: and that which was written was upright, even words of truth.
Eccl:12:11: The words of the wise are as goads, and as nails fastened by the masters of assemblies, which are given from one shepherd.
Eccl:12:12: And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh.
Eccl:12:13: Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
