Jn:5:36: But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me.
Jn:6:29: Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

Rom:9:28: For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth.
Rv:8:1: And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.
Rv:10:7: But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.
Dt:16:8: Six days thou shalt eat unleavened bread: and on the seventh day shall be a solemn assembly to the Lord thy God: thou shalt do no work therein.
Dt:16:9: Seven weeks shalt thou number unto thee: begin to number the seven weeks from such time as thou beginnest to put the sickle to the corn.

[quote="lone-traveler"]How do we know what day it really is?
Greetings
Simple First we know that God sanctified it at creation next we know God made it known before Moses in fact Enoch,Abraham to name a few knew this well before Moses in fact it was made know to the people right before mose recieved the law in stone.Next we know the levites knew,Josephus backs it up,Jesus himself kept it .........The Roman Catholics openly admit that it was they that changed the day to the first day(sunday) of the week which to them was the venurable day of the sun hence Sunday they were in fact sun worshipper's and the sixth day to them was known as saturnallius (saturday) and it was an evil day to them. The main thing is God has made sure for he made it a separate covanent and a gift to all mankind.Something of this import can only be hid to those who are willingly ignorant. So be it. |

Lone | Wow...I must have missed this one for a long time...Sorry !
The Bible tells us exactly which day is the 7th day.
Luke 23:51 (The same had not consented to the counsel and deed of them;) [he was] of Arimathaea, a city of the Jews: who also himself waited for the kingdom of God.
23:52 This [man] went unto Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus.
23:53 And he took it down, and wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a sepulchre that was hewn in stone, wherein never man before was laid.
23:54 And that day was the preparation, and the sabbath drew on.
23:55 And the women also, which came with him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the sepulchre, and how his body was laid.
23:56 And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment.
Chapter 24
24:1 Now upon the first [day] of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain [others] with them.
24:2 And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.
24:3 And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.
From these Bible verses, we can easy see that the 7th day sabbath comes the day before, Jesus Christ arose from the grave, which we all know to be Sunday, the 1st day of the week. |
