This is a question for myself and difficult not so much as a debate!
The problem is that if you have fallen into a curse or you have fallen from a clean consceousness by having a deeply ingrained bad thinking habbit of dirty thoughts for example [i cant achieve, i cant do this, you have a polluted mind, dont go ahean in faith, you have to swear, think, and meditate dirty thoughts, you cant achieve] and you are unable to get out of this pattern as you have been into it for 4 years, you pray and lose up to 10 kilos fasting, and god gives you light, you get up and i fall into the same thing repeatedly. .., when im really close to victory? what does the bible say about this, what is this, who is behind all of this, what can i do, a fear has risen within me due to my past unsucesss in spiritual life and i failed so many times by falling in the same hole and i am afraid that if i continue i will fail again. It started when i recieved a revelation saying "If he shall recieve forgivmness of his sins and discontinue in evil desire and turns from his ways, with faith in my grace with new actions in his walk i shall intervene and crush the sprit that is in my way, satan is placing cureses everywhere he can because his heart is not fully mine"
What should i do?
What ius this?
I know that i cant continue with this habbit?
How can i gewt rid of a fear of success when i tried 4 years and even now i still fail so my coonfidence has moved in this failure and i feel i cant get oiut of this and continue.
Please help me guys!
I read biblical verses and i hold them in my heart but i feel that the ingrainjed habbit just wins all of the time.
Plese Help |

Trapped in Sin.
First, just like all believers, since you are living in the tent of flesh with fleshly desires, you are going to battle the flesh every day for the rest of your life. Some days you will do better than others. God expects us to pray everyday for the insight and power to live by the spirit, to reach out and not spend time obsessing about ourselves. We need to put on the full armor of God which includes the breastplate of righteousness, if God is for you who can be against you, do not condemn yourself, God has made you righteous.
Do not try and fix every problem at once your deeping awarness of sin brings to your mind. If you us foul language which shows a lack of self control and a lack of respect for others, focus on thinking about choosing your words to build others up. Keep your mind on excellent things, on what you can do for others, and that will do. Remember Peter, who said he did not know Jesus, and went fishing after Jesus died on the cross? What did Jesus do? Jesus fixed Peter breakfast and asked Peter if he loved Him more than anything. Peter answer, you know I love like a brother, a lot less than what Jesus asked for. But what was the reponse of our Lord and Savior? Jesus said, Feed my sheep. Jesus would make do with Peter, and He will make do with you!
Pray, study your bible, fellowship with other Christians and reach out. Perhaps a fellow Christian, someone who you know and can trust to never betray your trust, might be willing to meet with you weekly to go over your walk with the Lord. Your prayer time, what have been studing, what are you doing to help Christ reach the world.
Remember this always, Jesus loves you now, just as you are, so keep your eyes on Jesus follow his example of humble effort, and one day, dear brother, he will welcome you home, and call you a good and faithful servant. |

Hi James,
Van has given some good advice. I would like to offer this passage to you, although you may very well be familiar with it, it is one of my favorite passages because the truth and wisdom within it shone so bright as to give me guidance when I was/am in time of great distress due to worldy sin and suffering:
Romans 5:3-4
"..., but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope."
Without so many evils tempting us every day, we would not find that leaning on our Rock is our only way to salvation. Let the evil that you feel is besieging you guide you more to God, in the way of hope, rather than to the evil desires themselves. If you fail, then make every attempt to not fail at it again by constantly asking the Lord for the inner strength to prevail. As long as you heart is sincere in the asking, the Lord will judge your plea with righteousness.
Romans 8:36
"For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered."
This passage shows, in my opinion, that it is required of us to each face his greatest sins each and every day, for us to constantly struggle with ourselves and what we are likely to do.
Do your best, for it is all that you can do. Do not lose hope. Continue your prayers in sincereness, and the Lord will take notice.
God bless |

James,
All the above is excellent advice. I just want to add that you need to make your focus a positive one. Instead of focusing on your sin, focus on God and His word. Learn what your position is in Christ by studying the Bible. God has given you His Holy Spirit and power. Read the book of James. He says "Resist the devil and he will flee from you." Also read about how sin happens in that book. Read Ephesians as has been mentioned. Chapter 6 is on spiritual warfare. God has equipped us for the fight. Read 1 John. We have an advocate, Jesus Christ for our sins. He has forgiven all your sins, past, present and future. Do not let Satan intimidate you. He will try. The best defense is to know who you are in Christ. |

James,
Like most, I can certainly understand your dilema. I have walked in those shoes, brother. I struggle today everytime I turn on this computer to stay in places of the Light and not wander off into darkness. I think you all know what I mean.
I left here for a time. As David did, I had to flee form this constant temptation in my face. I now still struggle but I have found accountability partnership helps alot.
I do not think the bible tells of any Christian saved by the grace of God through faith in Christ to be cursed by Satan. Not wanting to be harsh but I think you must first own your own behavior and ask God to help you with it.
I must do this minute by minute! I am one that struggles so frequently that a morning prayer would not carry me through the day. I must call on Him by the minute. Help me to stay in His Light. Keep my focus on things above and not on things of this world.
One of my favorite passages is 1 John 3:1- Behold what manner of love the Father hath bestowed on us that we should be called children of God.
When I think that I am a child of His, I often weep. How much love for me that must be to think of this wretched man as a son.
James, it is a minute by minute struggle. I could go on but I also think this verse is helpful to me- this is the Contemporary English version-
2 Corinthians 4:17 These little troubles are getting us ready for an eternal glory that will make all our troubles seem like nothing. 4:18 Things that are seen don't last forever, but things that are not seen are eternal. That's why we keep our minds on the things that cannot be seen. |

There is a point at which we cease struggling with sin. We stop seeing ourselves as weak and condemned. We stop living in guilt and the fear of sinning. Not, necessarily, that we never sin again, but when we do sin, it does not effect us, it is not our downfall. It is not our undoing, and we cannot even agree with Satan when he points the finger and puts us down. Before we can overcome sin, we have to let go of the condemnation, and no longer acknowledge that it has anything at all to do with us.
Rom 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to flesh, but according to Spirit.
Rom 8:2 For the Law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus set me free from the law of sin and of death.
If we find condemnation in our lives, it is because we are still placing our conscience under some type of law by which we can judge ourselves. This kind of law holds us under the grip of sin and condemnation. This is what Christ died to free us from. Grieving over ourselves will not change our nature. Forgiveness is inadequate. Being forgiven will not change our nature. Even under Moses' law there is forgiveness. Christ died to free us from the power of sin. That is what salvation means. He has empowered us. It lies in Him, not in ourselves. So stop placing sin in such a high undefeated perch. Christ has fully overcome. Now who are you? A new creature? Don't be double-minded. |

Is it not the Holy Spirit that convicts our hearts to keep us in the knowledge of our sinful behavior? I do not think it is judging ourselves in the sense of the Law but rather in the Spirit. The indwelling Holy Spirit tells me clearly that my behavior has been astray from that of what God's commandments are. I am not trying to turn this gentleman's post into a debate. He is truly seeking some answers. But it seems our conscience as saved Christians is lead by the Holy Spirit. |

| All I can add is that you believe. Believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins and mine. Love the Lord thy God with all your heart. But most of all realize there are two very powerful forces that roam the earth, the power of good and the power of evil. Decide in your heart where you want to be, it isn't easy to follow the path of good over evil, just remember Jesus is there by your side every minute of every day. God Bless! |

May i say god bless alll of you brothers and sisters for helping and an angel has written a book of remeberence in heaven and god shall give everyone according to his input.
I recieved a prohpecy revelation from a man filled with the holy spirit after your postings, i didnt tell him my problem but i believed that god can speak and suddenly he was praying and a speaking in a language not known and god said through him mouth without this person knowing my problem at all "This is what i say to you....in the problem you are calling me...i have seen your will to be free and this is your lord god speaking to you standing in front of you and for you to know i have great power..lift yourself up, dont let yourself to stumble and stand firm as i say to you and you shall see my great power and works. I want to leave a live witness and you shall witness with you mouth that great is your god, but dont forget...to thank me and bring glory. If you shall listen to my voice and thankme i will show you great things. Amen
This is what i recieved from a prophet, pray for me to have strength and to stand strong like he said.
Are there any biblical verses or ideas to warn me or have a verse you will like to help me, if not i brings thanks to god and glory to him for giving me strength and now i feel free from condemnation.
Amen |

Ron,
Jesus did say the HS comes to convict the world of sin. But are you of the world? Joh 16:9 Concerning sin, because they do not believe into Me;
The world lies in sin because they have not beleived into Christ.
Listen to what Paul says right after he tells us there is no condemnation in Christ. "For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ has set me free from the law of sin and death." The spirit will make us aware of God's desire for our behavior, and bear witness with our conscience. But he does not condemn us in Christ. There is no condemnation in Christ. None. Condemnation has to do with the law. The law of the SPirit does not keep us under guilt or knowledge of sin. That is what Satan attempts to do. He leads astray with lies that we are not approved of, we are not accepted, and that behavior condemns us. This leads to more of the cycles of coming clean and getting dirty...etc.I don't dwell in the sin. I dwell in the Christ. |

James,
Only to repeat once again that there is NO condemnation for us in Christ Jesus. So when you feel free from condemnation (the SPirit testifying within you), You are just as free from it as when you focus on your sin and feel condemned. Praise God. |
