Greetings,
I wish I had written this but I didn't, thought you might enjoy!
-------------------
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart;
and lean not unto thine own understanding.
Proverbs 3:5
God won't tell you what you don't need to no. Furthermore,He won't do for you what He's already told you to do. Stop trying to figure out things that should be left in His hands!
When you put something on the shelf that's bothering you and say you're going to trust God with it-don't take it back because you don't like the way He's handling it, or the length of time He's taking dealing with it.
Listen, "He that believeth shall not make haste" (Is. 28:16
Your mind likes to "slot" things. It dosen't like unanswered questions. When we don't know, we either (1) trust God;
(2) worry; (3) try to figure it out ourselves
.
[When God doesn't give us the answers to our questions, it's because He's training us in trust. Let that sink in! Learn to live with loose ends and trust in God!]
If you want growth, you've got to be at peace
with the mess that accompanies it. If you are one of God's obsessive-compulsive children who has to put everything in a neat little package with no loose ends,here's the word for you today:
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding"
(Proverbs. 3:5 NLT)
Peace To you, And to all A
Happy New Year,
Nobby

Another "nugget" of wisdom regarding decision-making that I picked up from reading Henry Blackaby's book "Experiencing God" (highly recommended):
(I'm paraphrasing...) If you're walking with God, keeping a close relationship with Him, then it doesn't matter which path you take, or which decision you make. As long as you're walking with Him, listening to Him, being obedient to Him, you can turn left or right and you'll be in exactly the right place!
We spend so much effort and worry trying to orchestrate our circumstances (life situation & events that we experience). It is so much more important from an eternal perspective *how* we respond to our circumstances than whatever the circumstances themselves happen to be. We can please God in *any* circumstance if we respond properly. This levels the playing field for all of us, rich & poor, healthy & sick - remembering that "to whom much is given, much is expected (Luke 12:48)". 1,000 years from now neither God nor I will care *what* circumstances I struggled through (or enjoyed) during my short life - only how I *responded* to those circumstances and how closely I walked with Him.
The above all pre-supposes that we have accepted the gift of eternal life offered by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for each of us.

| Took a course in Exp God once, and it was fantastic. You really learn to find out where God is, and to go there. Excellent. |

Great point Nobby...
One of the toughest things to do though is to truly submit your life to God. As His child, I know that I need to and must do this to be pleasing and to find that peace that does surpass understand... however... that is a very difficult thing to do.
I am one who has a heart that wants to please God. I will say though, that I tend to be one that takes my world on my own shoulders and tries to solve it all. This produces no peace, rather it causes worry.
A friend of mine who happens to be a minister, said this. "If we know that God's will for our lives is ultimately, perfect.. then the safest place in this world is for us to place ourselves in His all knowing, all seeing hands".
I know that this is right and it is easy to do when things are pretty good. But when thrown into life's challenges, that is when the rubber meets the road and I have trouble leaving it to Him.
I am on a mission though, to conform my life to reflect this. If I can do that, then I will be trusting all of the time, and therefore, be more pleasing to God.
Thanks for your posting, it was inspiring.
Happy New Year
