Interesting story. One things bothers me about the reporting on this however: the word Islamic is used rather uncritically. While the focus of the article is on the violence of sharia law as expressed in this children's show, the word "Islamic" tars everything with a broad brush. It smears moderate and immoderate alike. Better journalism might have been to write "Hamas 'Bugs Bunny' programme 'spreads extremism', and cut moderate Muslims some slack. _________________ One would never discover the limits of soul, should one traverse every road -- so deep a measure does it possess.

Matt where do you come up with all of these articles? Do you ever work? _________________ If Jesus Christ were to come today, people would not even crucify him. They would ask him to dinner, and hear what he had to say, and make fun of it. —Thomas Carlyle

What's next for them? An interactive virtual suicide bomber fashion show where kids and adults alike can vote the best looking dynamite vest and explosive accessories?
These guys need to take a laxitive and learn to have easier bowel movements! LOL!
Thanks for the funny. But we have to pause at times to remember that there are millions of people that really take themselves seriously. |

Here's one I'll agree with you on...a large portion of each of the major Palestinian faction are really more of a cult of death than "followers of Islam"...while I still hold that Islam is fundamentally less tolerate and more violent than Christianity, there's plenty to point to in Christian history....
However, what's going on in Palestine is Hitler scary...indoctrinating your youth to desire to die a martyr is a wicked scary proposition. _________________ Links of note:"Review for Doubting Christians"

I think that's a very good analogy.

It's one thing to indoctrinate children to willingly suffer death at the hands of unbelievers for the faith but it's quite another to indoctrinate them to kill themselves and others for the faith.
The first scenario is true matryrdom. The second is suicide and murder. The first is predicated on love. The second is predicated on hate. _________________ "All wish to possess knowledge, but few, comparatively speaking, are willing to pay the price." - Juvenal |
