God asks for proof, of a person's Christianity....did you know that ?

In other words, a mere mouthing of the words: "I'm a Christian" (Or, I'm Saved).....will not work in the eyes of God.
Mere words, are nothing to God.....HE demands proof !

James 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

And since satan and all his millions of angels believe in God....does that make them Christians ?

2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates ?

QUESTION: And how does a person prove that they are in the 'faith'.....BUT, by comparing their lives, with exactly, what the Bible says !

Maybe that is why so many people do not like to study their Bible ?

****************************************

Ephesians 5:10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.

Let's add another Bible verse to combine with that one......
1 Corinthians 10:31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

Ever put those 2 thoughts together (Bible verses) before ?

*****************************************

Galations 6:4 But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.

"Let every man prove...his own work" ?

What does that mean ?

******************************************

2 Thess 5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
5:22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.

QUESTION: Should those 2 Bible verses, have been put together ?

*****************************************

2 Corinthians 8:8 I speak not by commandment, but by occasion of the forwardness of others, and to prove the sincerity of your love.

QUESTION: Is that what Jesus Christ meant, when HE said:
15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. (John)

*****************************************

Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, [which is] your reasonable service.

12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

QUESTION:
Has anyone here really understoood what God's will is, mentioned from Genesis ....to Revelation ?

Yes I believe there are some here that do understand what Gods will is (from reviewing postings of others) and scripture does put it plain.

Just a few examples:

Matt 6:31-34
1 Tim 6:6-8; 4:7-9,12
John 6:40
1 Thess 4:3-12; 5:18
1 Peter 2:15-16

There goes SS with his "prove it" thread again. God sees all and knows all and we dont "prove it" to Him since He already knows. Silly human, Tricks are for rabbits.

That would make them believers. Christiaity is the belief that Jesus is our Savior. He is the one that brought about Christianity. He is why people other than the Isrealites can recieve grace. His faith was that of the Isrealy people who worship the one true God. The same God that Christian now worship but now through Jesus death we can now recieve the same grace of the Isrealy people.

I'm just curious to know who you are trying to prove your Christianity to? Me?? Totally unnecessary.
I'm too busy working on my own faith walk to be impressed with yours.

Interesting...that you did not include any OT Scriptures.

Hello does anybody hear me?

Believing In God Does Not Make You A Christian.....
Jewish people believe in the same God. Guess what he was theirs before he was ours.

NO....

Christianity happened to give us the right of forgiveness of sins. Thanks be to Jesus. Who happens to be the reason there even is a Christian Church. Thank you Jesus we now can repent and be forgiven. If not we would all wind up in Hell because we all judge eachother way to much.

"Prove" means "to examine" to "put to the test". God wants us to objectively examine and put to the test all those religious concepts that claim to be Christian, or pseudo Christian, not to just blindly accept some "authority figures" word for it, and be part of a church organization based on what popular opnion says.

We are individually responsible for what we believe, and will be held individually responsible.

Being a Christian is following the excample set forth by Jesus Christ as how to live a Christian lifestyle.

That is why satan and all his angels are not believers or Christian, in any shape or form.

They cannot stop from committing sin....a Christian can stop from committing sin, thru the power of God, which is called, Grace.

Christians...are LawKeepers.

Sinners...are LawBreakers.

That is the difference between them.

What laws are you referring to? I only know of two Christian laws.

Eccl. 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this [is] the whole [duty] of man.

12:14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether [it be] good, or whether [it be] evil.

Every one of the 10 commandments is found in the New testament Scriptures...repeated from Exodus 20:3-17

There are two, and only two Christian laws.
They are as follows:

The Greatest Commandment

28One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, "Of all the commandments, which is the most important?"
29"The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one 30Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' 31The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'There is no commandment greater than these."

Go ahead. Argue with me on this one.

What is there to argue about ?

Jesus just repeated those from the Old testament:

#1.) Deutronomy 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God [is] one LORD:
6:5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
6:6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:

#2.)
Leviticus 19:18 Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I [am] the LORD.

They are the summary of ALL 10 commandment, which is.....
the first 4 ...are our love for God.

And the Last 6 ...are our love for our fellow man.

It is as simple as that.

Yes, it is as simple as that.
Now let's go back to the original topic.

What is there to "prove"?
And to whom do I need to prove anything?

And to whom do I need to prove anything?

Satan claims that no man/woman can keep God's commandments.....and, he proved his point with Adam & Eve.

God says that man CAN keep all His Commandments.

Jesus Christ proved him wrong, by becoming a human being and keeping All God's commandments.

Now God has already identified peole who have kept His commandments, in the Bible....
Revelation 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here [are] they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

And satan is angry with that proof...and has made WAR upon them......
Revelation 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

That conflict is played out in every person who claims to be a Christian, today !

God wants a person who says that they are a Christian, to prove Him right.
