Pete, that would put your age up around the Eighties, wouldn't it?

Either that, or I started reading around the age of two.

Scorp... I'm not asking you to name the species, or the Genus... maybe something in the order, family, or even a separate class... but at least get close.

Look in Genesis. And then, you tell me.

You claim to have researched this issue but the only thing I have seen is (and again, I don't mean this in a demeaning personal way) rudimentary dogma.

Once again, point me to a verse or two in the Book of Genesis that will steer me and the entire natural science community in the right direction.

Coming up with LUCA did not require 'research'... that is the party line for 'we have no earthly idea and what we see makes absolutely no sense'. Sorry... but this is just the way I see it.

If you dig down a specific number of layers in the Earths strata, you will find that the fossil record of each layer becomes less complex. If you dig deep enough you will find remnants of the oldest known fossils, cyanobacteria.Nothing more complex than that one-celled bacteria exists at that 3.5 million year-old strata of rock. Does Genesis explain this in terms of why the creator began with a one-celled animal?

....... It’s the equivalent of my cousin stating he and I share the same mother... which can't be true.
The Mother is not the common ancestor of you and your blood-related cousin. In this case the Grandmother will be you and your cousins common ancestor.

Nobby, you sound like one of those young "whipper-snappers" in their 50's. I've got kids that age. Fact is, I don't feel so old myself.

I've been fortunate to live during a period in history when the world has made enormous changes, and it hasn't all been good.

But, this has nothing to do with the topic... sorry.
