The great tribulation. Is it ahead of us or has it already taken place?
Woe to the earth! Rev.12:12.
History tells of the persecution of early Christians, later the inqusition, and the reformation period, all taking place over the past 2000 years.
Any thoughts on this?

Well I ll try again.
My research on the great tribulation begins with Rev12:1 with the woman about to give birth. Apparently the woman the Apostle Paul spoke about at Gal 4:24-26, God's universal heavenly organization. She gave birth to the male that would shepherd all the nations and was caught away to God and to the throne the Christ, this was 33C.E.
The great tribulation appears to have it's begining after the war in heaven when Michael ousted the Devil, with woe, (tribulation) on the earth. First it came on the Apostles then continued on the remaining ones that have the work of bearing witness to Jesus. Rev 12:7-17. Also see: Acts.
According to the historical record the tribulation continued on for the next 2,000 years. The inquisition actually instigated and supported by the ant-christ, (apostate religion and corrupt politics), (church and State). This is identified scripturally as a two horned lamb, speaking as a dragon, coming out of the earth, (the stable elements of society), with two horns of power. Rev 13:11-18.
The tribulation would continue symbolically (10 days) or until the church (the bride of Christ, those who would rule with Christ as kings and priests) was gathered. Rev2:10; 6:9-11;20:6.

Hi Sage,
I believe that tribulation and the great tribulation may be different. Every human on earth knows tribulation and it wars and it many sorrows, but the great tribulation is greater than has ever been known.
OT and NT lead me to believe that the great tribulation will be onset by a great earthquake, but I am no way set in stone on the matter.
I believe that it is possible that this great catastrophy will set into motion troubles the entire world has never known before. Ash from earthquakes and volcanos would turn the moon to blood and the sun would be darkened.
If Babylon represents the world and its ways then it will fall in one hour. Has not the world sat as a king and lives deliciously thinking that all is well?
Would not the merchants of the earth (those who control commerce) bewail her and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning?
This is part of my opinion at this point on the book of Revelation.

Nana,
My wife Works at Cornell University. Right now she is working on one of the Biggest disasters in world History. The wheat has contracted a fungus and scientists say that it spreading rapidly. By the end of this year 70% of the worlds wheat will be destroyed if they can't find a solution for this problem.
Talk about end time possibilities. Revelation 6 A man will ride around on his horse carrying a pair of scales weighing the wheat.
Thanks for the post |

Greetings JB,
Your information is most interesting, this is also interesting:
| Quote: | Exponential increase in earthquakes continues to escalate – world’s every hotspot boiling again – 2012 mega earthquake?

If you plot the number of earthquakes, tectonic disturbances and under ocean volcanoes with that in 1995, you will get scared. The numbers are rising exponentially.
The biggest problem, according to geophysicists is that the tectonic plate shifts have increased the number of serious earthquakes in the past one-year an enormous amount and the rate is exponentially increasing. Scientists are blaming the Polar reversal and these will continue till 2012.Very rarely the Sun and the Earth simultaneously reverses polarity. That is exactly what is happening now. When this happens catastrophes happen in the earth. If history is a guide of anything, these earthquakes and volcanoes will continue to increase till 2012.
Periodic moderate earthquake reminds of a systematic tectonic disturbance in Northern Sumatra for the last one year. Many now are predicting that either a major cataclysmic event has been avoided or initiated. The same is happening in Western and Northwestern America; More than 600 small earthquakes have been registered in these areas.
According to scientists, all hot spots – Sumatra, Yellowstone and many others are showing signs of extreme disturbance – even harmonic tremors.
According to some, we are really sitting in front of a series of very catastrophic series of earthquakes all over the world. |
Luke 21:25-26, “And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
26) Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.”
It seems to me that the fig tree 's branch is tender.
Our comfort:
Rev 2:10, "Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life."

Hi Nana & J.B.
Nana always enjoy your comments. Good information
J.B.
To add to my research on the tribulation and the signs that followed it's beginning.
The tribulation began in the earth folowing the sign of the Son of man (Jesus in the grave three days and three nights; Mat.12:39-40). "the beginning of the pangs of distress." Mat. 24:8. It would become greater than any that had preceded it. It would be greater than any that had occurred from "the world's beginning" until then. Mat.24:21. However before it could escalate to greater preportion, it would be cut short. This happened in 66 C.E. when the Roman armies left.
This allowed flesh to be saved "on account of the chosen ones". Mat.24:22.
After the Roman armies returned, it then intensified (as the great tribulation). When Jesus said, "Imediately after the tribulation of those days" in verse 29, He was making reference to what He had previously said in verses 21 and 22 about the coming escalation of the tribulation. He was saying, before it becomes a great tribulation, the pangs of distress" wil cease (be cut short). This would allow the chosen ones to leave and be saved. Immediately after that, it will start again as the great tribulation period. This would bring desolation by by the Abomination, the disgusting thing (Rome), Mat.24:15; with judgement on the Jewish nation, the distruction of the temple and the end of the Jewish system of things.
The tribulation of those days and the darkness that followed for the next 2,000 years (will discuss next post)

The sage,
Did you know that the Stone that was removed for a reason? In between each layer of stone was gold and because of the financial devastation of Rome in that day , they desperately needed it for recovery.
Just a little trivia.
God bless and thanks for the post |

Thanks for your thoughts, Nana & JB!
I'll share some additional research from my prospective. Mat.24:29 says: 'the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give it's light and the stars will fall from heaven and the powers of the heaven will be shaken'.
This prophecy does not need to be literal since the scripture at Ps. 84:11 says Jehovah God is a sun and shield. Also Jer.31:35,36, says: the seed of Israel, were the moon and stars that reflect his statutes and regulations. Their failure to do so would cause both the seen and the unseen to fall from their lofty, heavenly positions of leadership. Even the genealogical records of their royal ancestry, and those of the Levitical priesthood were destroyed, as well as the expulsion of Satan and his Angels from heaven. Rev.12:12.

The Time of Tribulation is definitely going to take place, however those who have accepted Christ and His teachings will fear but God will deliver them, according to the Bible.
Is anyone familiar with the 1260 day prophecy? |

Yes, I raise my hand, it is pretty simple.
Jerusalem had known defeated in the past, but the New Spiritual Jerusalem was rebuilt without hands. The New Jerusalem is in us. Until Jerusalem gave birth she had been nourished and fed by God one thousand two hundred and threescore days.
Matthew 1:17, “So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.”
3x14 generations=42, 42x30 (30 years being a generation) =1260. Jerusalem was fed by God until the time was right that she should bring forth her child.

| Very interesting topic. I was going to make a remark about 2012. The Mayan calendar is said to be the most accurate today. Their calendar is said to end on Dec. 21, 2012. I've heard of some tellings that in early b.c. times that the egyptians new of a 10 planet in our solar system. It is said that this planet orbits the sun in a 3600 year cycle. Some people think that the great flood happened some where around 2400 and 2300 b.c. according to our calendar and thats just a guess. If we subtract 3600 years (time it takes the 10th planet to orbit in close to earth) from 2012, we get 1588 b.c. It is said that when the planet comes into orbit, that it disrupts the earth causing earthquakes, tsunami's, volcanos etc. This could be when the flood took place in 1588 b.c. when the 10th planet came into orbit. |

In 2012 the AV Bible will have been graciously available for all english speaking people to read for 400 years.
Immediately after this I predict that God will begin to judge the church in America for it's handling of his written word.
I predict many Christians will repent and return back to the AV Bible.
However, the huge majority of American's will reject the opprotunity to repent and subsequently America will backslidingly forsake it's God given sovereignty as will all unbelieving nations and entities.
God has already spoken but, the church in America is deaf, dumb and blind because of the influence of the flood of satanic bibles.

The great tribulation is incomparable with any other tribulation past or future.
That is it's unique an defining characteristic.
It will be utterly global in it's extent.
At this moment we are and have been in the time period defined by Psalm 2:1-2.
The falling away of the gentiles from the gospel of Jesus is presently under way and clearly taking shape.
The rejection of the AV Bible is the foremost example of this, at this time.
