On a separate note, I still can't get over the fact that there are people out there like you who believe that the Universe is only a few thousand years old. It totally blows my mind every time I think about it.

They have, to the last, been thoroughly debunked. Even the ones that most other creationists have long abandoned (because the arguments have been demonstrated to be debunked to an undeniable level) Hovind still uses, like the moon dust argument.

Kent Hovind often used the argument in this article. Since 1998, no less. It was on the website until 2005.
Here are a few more examples in which Hovind has actually been proven to be lying (by showing that he does understand that what he's saying is not actually true).

That wasn't the claim. The claim is that Patriot Bible University is a diploma mill. An institution that exists for no reason beyond getting paid by "students" to send them degrees.

Again, it doesn't take much to win a debate if you're not concerned with being honest. Especially live. Hovind can just throw out a bunch of arguments when its his turn and the opponent simply doesn't have enough time to explain why the arguments don't work. This used to be called the "Gish Gallop" after Duane Gish, a creationist who was well-known for this technique. Personally I've started calling it the Hovind Hustle. |

40 years ago we had a greater currency than USA, currently it is more than 8 times weaker. We had very few crime, and we had some of the smartest people on earth.
I can say a lot about How South Africa was good but has become bad, but the point is the smart people emigrated to get away from this conditions. It is called brain drain

This concept was abandoned in the ~17th century by nearly all geologists. Even Lord Kelvin (an outspoken contemporary critic of Darwin's theory) believed the Earth to be a few tens of millions of years old. Creationism in its modern form is a relatively recent infection.

Sounds like a Hovind-style debate to me: You're judge and jury, applying your own rules as you see fit.
How about we have a normal one-on-one debate. The only person you need to be worried about here with respect to dishonest debating tactics is yourself. |
