Hello all.
I am at bible college preparing for what God has called me to.
In my course of study we are looking at the introduction to the New Testament. I have found it challenging becuase I have found out that there was a 400 year silience of God speaking to His people. I think the reason why this was because Amos 8:11 says that "The days are coming, declares the Soveregin Lord, when I will send a famine through the land - not a famine of food or a thrist for water, but a famine of hearing the Words of the Lord"
Think about God's people going to the temple seeking God and not hearing anything for 400 years. Knowing through other judgements in the bible there would of been those who were faithful to God would of kept seeking God and obeying what He had said in the past that was passed down to them.
Question: If God did that today how would you respound? Knowing myself I think I might find it hard. But would hope that I would stay faithful to God. |

Hi Videoman,
Good question!
I cd only find it easy to not hear from God for any length of time at any time because I love myself as God loves me, which is as Himself:
as ignored,
and as an ignorer,
and as a person who also does not answer when called and also does not return calls,
and as silent and as dumb and as mute.
Mt 5:45. 11:28-30. 2 Cor 12:9-10. 1 John 4:20.
in the Love that always hears and answers even then there is no other answer,

first up, hello atoz...your unreal
and again the bible relates to humans as of Nature
(clouds) that evaperate of the earth and hopfully fall again as a latter rain?
Jude 12;
These are spots in your love feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear. Clouds they are without water, carried about by winds, trees without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;
Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is
Reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.
Great verse. In that verse you can see that clouds are not of the vaporous type but are symbolic of people. Why would God reserve the clouds in the sky to the blackness of darkness forever
And Enoch also prophesied of these also
Reading these verses seem to bring a lot to life;
as some clouds are in amongst us now in church, reserved in chains, Jude passes on comfort to the readers after reading enoch, beleiving himself some have already seen the judgement set, but will refuse and use their life to sit themselves in the heavens whilest they have breath in themselves to do so. Murmurers, complainers walking after their own lusts,
It is very interesting as you said different spirits identify themselves and make claim to Gods inheritance
