Hello everybody; I am delighted to have arrived at the forum at last, having lurked for some time. My initial attempts to join met with repeated failure; however, through the intervention of a higher power, I have now attained my goal.

Hello jamtomorrow pleased to meet you.

Interesting name.
I'm glad to hear you believe in a higher power, I'm married so, for me, it's not a matter of faith.
I hope you enjoy your foray into this forum.

wilber

Welcome, Jamtomorrow. Glad to meet you.

Wilber, I'm married like you, and so I get your drift. I do not know if you have any children, but if you do then you know that there are also some chaotic demigods that seem to have established some local sovereignty.

Living with three women my only hope of salvation is to locate the remote before anyone else does.
As the Greek god's looked down and viewed the pathetic story of human kind, so too, if I lose the remote, I am compelled to watch pathetic soaps and reality tv shows without end. The river styx is sometimes very appealing.

Good avatar

(PS your mountains and lakes are even more appealing. Its b****y miserable here at the mo.)

It's the same in my home: soaps right at news time is especially such a waste!smile

How did that old jingle go?
Soapy in the morning,
Soapy in he evening,
Soapy at suppertime,
Be my little soapy,
and I'll love u all the time

is what it is in my humble domain!smile

W, u are a little Moses with 3 women to live with: M had 7 I think!smile

with l&r,
atoz

Thank you one and all for such warm welcomes. I look forward to participating in many discussions in time to come.

BTW, I've added a signature to my profile, but can't see it on my (one and only, to this point) post.

Is it like the back of my head (or the plank in my eye) that everybody else can see but I can't? Or am I doing something wrong?

hello jamtomorrow.

Interesting avatar - is that hell fire or baptism by fire?
Strange signature - reminds me of when I was at school and was taught how to spell 'weirdo' properly. Mind you, the english teachers were good in those days.

Ah, well spotted wilber! You're quite right, you simply can't get the staff these days. I shall correct sig immediately.

The avatar is simply a reminder to myself not to play with matches.

Sadly the Rocky mountains are thousands of miles away. Some lakes are closer. Lake Huron is to the north, Lake Ontario to the east, Lake Erie to the south. So why do we have lawn watering bans in the summer? It's snowing outside at the moment. But buildings are all centrally heated, so you wouldn't notice if you didnt look out the window.
