| Just out of curiosity, would you folks still think so highly of the song if the lyrics weren't Christian? |

Hi VM,
Just ask a question about what you can't figure if you want to figure what I am trying to say!smile
And please ask it on another forum and thread.

Sorry Hekk!
VM's comment about men loving girlie lyrics so tied in with her request for prayer re her marriage that before I knew it, i was trying to connect for her.
Great lyrics anyhow!

Indescribable
by
Chris Tomlin
From the highest of heights to the depths of the sea
Creation's revealing Your majesty
From the colors of fall to the fragrance of spring
Every creature unique in the song that it sings
All exclaiming
Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name.
You are amazing God
All powerful, untamable,
Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim
You are amazing God
Who has told every lightning bolt where it should go
Or seen heavenly storehouses laden with snow
Who imagined the sun and gives source to its light
Yet conceals it to bring us the coolness of night
None can fathom
Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name
You are amazing God
All powerful, untamable,
Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim
You are amazing God
You are amazing God
Indescribable, uncontainable
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name.
You are amazing God
All powerful, untamable
Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim
You are amazing God
Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name.
You are amazing God
INCOMPARABLE, unchangeabl
You see the depths of my heart and You love me the same
You are amazing God
You are amazing God |

I doubt it, Jacinth. The lyrics contain the power in the song, because the praise goes to God. |

| Ok, so it is the lyrics and not the music which you all enjoy so much? |

A song has several properties that together will make the song as a whole, pleasing to the ear of the listener who enjoys it. I enjoy the song as a whole.
But I am now interested as to why you keep questioning it? |

Oh, ok. I get it.
"Devil's Advocate"
You could have just stated that you were playing the Devil's Advocate.
I get it. |

| Devil's advocate? I only saw someone asking why others liked a particular song. |

Look up the definition. The thorough examination to determine the validity of the position of enjoying the song = Devil's Advocate.
It is not a negative term, you know. |

Absolutely---since lyrics are really about Love which is loving under all conditions: buddhist, hindu, jew, muslim, xtian, zoroastrian, atheist, etc.
in the Song of Love that makes poetry out of motion and prose, muses out of muslims, and etc,
