I'm not moving this thread to another forum that receives very little traffic. Homosexuality is one of many areas where the issues of society today are addressed by Biblical principles and I'm opening up this discussion here specifically on the theological aspects.
Those of you who don't like this thread can grow up, quit whining to the moderators, and exercise your God given freedom to not read it. I'm tired of bullies who attempt to exert control on others but can't control themselves enough to not read a thread they don't like.
If you can't handle this discussion, there are plenty of other ongoing threads and discussions for you to engage in, so have at it. |

| The issue of marriage being the same as one flesh may be a false comparison. However, allowing Genesis 2:24 to stand as a definition of marriage I would than propose the following. Is it not biblically possible and in fact historical reality that numerous man-man and women-women one flesh bonds have been constructed. Consider the man with more than one wife or the women with more than one male mate. When each sexual relationship is defined to form a conjoining of the two flesh into one than the second, third and following conjoining units conjoin with the previous so as all to become one. In simple terms two women married to the same man have a covenant with each other via that man. They are indeed married to each other through him. |

This happened all the time in the OT. Apparently, the one flesh one man, one woman sanctity didn't mean a whole lot back then. |

The angels told Lot that God would destroy the cities because of the outcry of their neighbors. I myself have read that passage several times and missed that detail, so I can see how you might have missed it.

Oh I didn't miss the passage. I only "missed" when it said that the outcry was homosexual gangs. That was nowhere in there. God could not have wanted that city destroyed b/c of "homosexual gangs".

Why do the majority of people get married? Is it not b/c they love their mate? I know that's why I got married. B/C I loved him & wanted to spend the rest of my life w/him. I am realistic & know that some marry for other purposes, but I am strictly talking about the main reason why people get married. |

Like other Bible scholars, I'm simply putting two and two together in a simply syllogism. The angels said that S&G caused an outcry from their neighbors, and homosexual gangs roamed the cities hoping to sodomize tha angels, so I naturally conclude that it's these same gangs that are oppressing their neighbors.

And your marriage is natural and blessed by God, homosexual unions are not, and cannot be called marriages in the literal sense. |

seems like they had a few things against them..committing abomination is at the bottom of the list though and pride is at the top..
maybe a list of priorities?
but nevertheless..all for one and one for all ..if you break one you broke them all. |

Lone, but there is a hierarchy of sin. The hierarchy kinda goes as follows
Blasphemies
Abominations
Mortal sins
Concupiscence
Venial sins
Vices
Perhaps this is why Jesus said to Pilate, "The one who delivered me to you has the greater sin?
But if there be any doubt as to which reason was first and foremost, I think St. Jude would be the tie-breaker:
