Speaking for myself, this is why I am here. I am grateful to be a part of a "real world" faith community which encourages honest seeking for spiritual truth, provided that seeking is done respectfully of others' beliefs. Some might worry that this leads to religious anarchy. But it doesn't for the simple reason that spiritual convictions can be shared in community provided all are open to further growth. My participation on this board--a virtual faith community--is an extension of my Christian witness within my real world faith community.

I'm popping in and out..somedays I can't get on..no reception sometimes. But we're sitting still at the moment..
going to and fro and up and down in this country..LOL..
what you suppose Satan was doing while he was going to and fro and up and down in the earth?
hmm..like the wind traveling east and west and north and south..you think he was walking or riding?
ha..lol..

What we try to do is let everyone voice their opinions as long as they don't attack members personally, or "ad hominem" attacks.
Nobby and Rev run things around here. They have different views from me - case in point: We work together for the whole of the board, not to push our individual views.
My original intent in opening this board was to provide a place for discussion - not to make people believe this or that.
If members feel they have been "done wrong" they can PM me with details. Sometimes Nobby, Rev and I have discussions where we see things differently and talking about it works things out. Sometimes I see it exactly the way they do.
Nobby and Rev actually have a better feel for the community here than I do. I just pay the bills and pop on every once in a while.

Atoz: By first loving & respecting myself as all members and their opposites.
That is the ONLY weakness on any Forum and on this one specifically: There is no over-riding Teller who has the authority and wants to and can guide all new members, especially, and old members too, to make a commitment as the basis of joining to start loving and respecting themselves all the way, and having it spelled out to them.
Without that commitment to Unconditional Love and Respect, people with opposing views do mutually hate and disrespect those holding anti-views, and IN HATE of opposites MUST, can't help but voice their opinions AND attack others with or without ad hominem comments like name-calling in Hate of the names they call others, which is the easiest from of ad hominem, or like subtly comparing others to those they hate. And so can't help but get the boot.
With my philosophy of L&R, I can and do handle that lack tho: people who hate and disrespect have that right which is also the right to be wrong, which right confers on me the attendant right to Love and Respect.
This is why it may seem as if I just harp on one note all the time: I do harp on it all the time:smile: to eliminate hatred and disrespect so that all views can LOVED and RESPECTED while we agree with and disagree with opposing views, giving uis the chance to see that
the guys who are for giving
and the guys who are for taking
ARE saying the same thing in other words!!!!!

Yes, most people are afraid of the truth.
They do not want the responsibility of what the truth holds out to them.
Because if they accept the truth of a statement, they must then follow its dictates.
This is also why Christianity is not accepted by most people, in the Christian world.
They try to change what God means, by what HE says in the Bible.
OR, they adhere to certain Scriptures while ignoring or rejecting other parts of the Bible.
They will say they believe in Jesus Christ....yet, they reject what HE says to do.
And, then they think they will get into heaven ?!?

All people who hate themselves as liars are afraid of the truth since the Truth about Love may make liars out of them.
More important than the Love of the truth is the Truth about Love.
In Hate of being wrong, we do not want the responsibility of admitting that we are wrong when Truth holds a new truth out to us.
Because as long as we accept the truth of a statement in hate of being wrong and in hate of being a liar, we are stuck, ossified, concretized in that one accepted truth and can not accept any new truth and then follow the dictates of the new truths.
This hatred of self as liars or as wrong or as partly right is also why Christianity is not accepted by most people, in the Christian world, and why Judaism and Buddhism and Hinduism and Sikhism and etc are NOT accepted by Xtians.
In hate of selves as lairs, we must try to limit or change what God means, by what HE says in the Bible.
In other words,
in Hate of certain words,
we must adhere ONLY to certain Scriptures while ignoring or rejecting other parts of the Bible, and so limiting the Unlimited and ilimitable God.
Psalm 78:
41Yea, they turned back and tempted God,
and limited the Holy One of Israel.
We will say we believe in Jesus Christ....
yet,
we reject THE FIRST THING HE says to do:
LOVE YOUR SELF WITH ALL OF YOUR HEART AS GOD AND ALL YOUR Sabbath-keeping & non-Sabbath-keeping NEIGHBOURS,
SO THAT YOU WOULD LOVE GOD AND ALL YOUR Sabbath-keeping & non-Sabbath-keeping NEIGHBORS WITH ALL OF YOUR HEART AS YOURSELF.
Matthew 22:36-40.
And, then we think we will get into heaven: which is the right conclusion but for the wrong reason: so we suffer emotionally a lot for that wrong thinking in hate of self and others: we THINK God MUST hate US since if WE were God, we would HATE US.
But all things work good for us because God loves us!

But how JC changes all that in us
proves that what JC changes and what we were guilty of is the same thing:
the sin of hatred for oursleves as liars and as murderers and as adulterers and as sabbath-breakers and as etc.
See mt 5:43-48.
