Prayers/Speaking to the dead confusion.

Great analysis!

JC did say to let the dead bury the dead! Luke 9:60.

So by principle, as u said, let the dead Saul GO to the dead--in his case, to have the dead feed him and ultimately bury him.

What a mind you have!

1Sa 28:10 And Saul sware to her by the LORD, saying, [As] the LORD liveth, there shall no punishment happen to thee for this thing.

The Lord kept Saul's oath as not to discredit his own name.
So basically Saul bound God by an oath in God's name that God wouldn't destroy her.

whatsover thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven..maybe kind of thing...?
nevertheless God kept his name clean..for his own name's sake.

and also through that oath came a lot of blessings like the one about feeding the least of these my brethren.. Wink

She was being christian and didn't even know it.. Very Happy

Least that's how I'm seeing it..

Who wd you consider to be the least important person to pray to?

That least person is JC.

Please read 1 Thes 4:8-10 and 1 John 4:20.

On the matter of Jesus speaking to someone whose passed. He's the Son of God, I think hes exempt from the whole not talking to anyone dead. For the life of me I can't give a single reason why but its just safe to say "Because hes God" Razz

Edit:I'm sure theres many reasons why and they're listed somewhere in the Bible, forgive me, I'm new. Razz
