In the wake of the atrocious attacks on Sept 11th, 2001, a commission was convened to explore what caused the failure of the U.S. to anticipate and stop the attack. This commission consisted of 5 democrats and 4 republicans; I don't know the reason for the disparity, or how it came to be that 4 spineless Republicans were chosen with 5 attack-dog Democrats.

One of the Dems purposely selected for this commission was Jamie Gorelick, who was the deputy attorney general under Bill Clinton. She was singularly responsible for the "wall" that kept the intelligence agencies from being able to share vital information with law enforcement and the FBI. It was no mistake that she was selected, and in fact, the rest of the commission could be seen as ornate window dressing to hide the true agenda of concealing the true culprit that blinded us and cut us off at the knees.

To further buttress my point, I would remind everyone that it was during this "investigation" that Sandy Berger was caught stuffing documents down his pants; documents that cast Clinton in a very embarrassing light.

Gorelick made certain that the Commission gave very little consideration to the most damning evidence that pointed to egregious Clinton era screw ups. Not only was this "wall" created that was protested loudly by the entire intelligence community, but Project Able Danger, which warned of the presence of dangerous terrorists like Mohamed Atta, (who masterminded the attacks) was ignored by the Clinton Administration. Also ignored was the opportunity Clinton had to arrest Osama Bin Laden when he was handed this terrorist on a silver platter.

The Commission's agenda seemed to be to point as much blame on George Bush as possible. Bush, who had been in office for less than 8 months at the time somehow was more responsible for the lapse in government vigilance than the man who had held that office for the last 8 years.

This is the real Clinton legacy. While he was busy screwing around with interns, terrorists took advantage of his inattention and devised their attack. Would his library be quite so large if people knew the truth about his mismanagement of the country? By the way, this obsession with building libraries in tribute to a presidential legacy borders in the vanity that caused Pharoah to build pyramids with slave labor, but that's a different topic.

Hi Smdt,

Just sharing in Love.

Ezekiel 23:
28For thus saith the Lord GOD:
Behold,
I will deliver thee
into the hand of them whom thou hatest,
into the hand of them from whom thy mind is alienated:

29And they shall deal with thee hatefully,
and shall take away all thy labour,
and shall leave thee naked and bare:
and the nakedness of thy whoredoms shall be discovered,
both thy lewdness and thy whoredoms.

Matthew 5:
44But I say unto you,
Love your enemies,
bless them that curse you,
do good to them that hate you,
and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

45That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

48Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

It is amazing something how things spill over from one presidency to the next one. Like Clinton taking credit for the economy during his administration when it had been set up by the former Bush team.

What I am most interested in about this 9/11 commission report is Guiliani's statements made before he started to run for president and how they've changed since then. Of all the republicans running for president now he is the absolutely worst one. A liar from the outset.

Yep, if anyone doubts the theory of evolution, they only need to look at this guy. While Hillary Clitler tries to change her stripes to seem more moderate, Rudi is trying to make himself seem more conservative. Could it be said that his trust in the short term memories of most Americans is very well placed? And his biggest accolade?....He was mayor of New York when the WTC was attacked. Big whoopee!!

It is hard to decided which I dislike more Guiliani or Clinton both are the epitome of all the bad points of being a politician and few of the good points.

Well I dont have to choose between them because I am libertarian and we have our own candidate. The largest third party in the country with more elected libertarians in positions of trust and authority than any other American third party ever, and growing. Growing simply because sensible people just cant stand this process which rewards the same sort of people from both parties

There may come a time when we simply have enough voters that they must take us seriously.

Yes, all of our politicians today have a sort of swagger about them. They condescend to us like we're children. Gone are the days when there was a mortal fear that possessed anyone who took office....as if they were to pass a despotic law, or even suggest it, people would be up in arms...literally.

And Boss, it really takes more people like us willing to vote our conscience rather than the candidate that smells the least like raw sewage. It's the 2 party voters that are throwing away their votes, not us. The 2 party system is safe as long as people don't realize that they can change it. I have risen above the lemming mentality, and I see you have too.

Holy Mary, pray for us!
