i was trying to find some way to study the bible and understand things better and also wanted to include my husband who happens to be in prison any help will be great

Welcome Fay, I think you came to the right place for the help you are looking for. You will soon see many replys to your Bible study guest. I think the first place to start is with the New Testiment, What Type of Bilbe do you have? If you are new to bible study you may want to try the NIV study bible, I find it easier to read and understand and it has a section at the bottom of the pages that will explain the verses in lamans terms. About you husband; I will remember him in my prayers. Most prison have a local Church group that comes in and provides bible study and counsling to the occupants, please have him look into getting involved in the group.
