Based on the Golden Rule in Matthew 7:12,
does God love His enemy Satan as He tells us to love our enemies in Matthew 5:43-48?

Fair question if one believes Job is a literal-historical account of events that actually happened in the heavenly throne room, God introduces Job to an archangel, sends him off to bring the "fire of God" down on Job's servants, a tornado on his children, and in the next round boils on Job's body. And Job 6 times says it was God who did it. Then in Revelation a literal-historical angel who was only obeying his mandate gets cast into the lake of fire.

But not a very fair question if the questioner is aware that not all Christians believe this and seeking to get at God because of the inconsistencies among his believers. Confused or disgusted

So can I, with respect, ask, what is the target in this question? God? or traditional beliefs re Satan?

Well, he apparently made him for the strict purpose of becoming evil incarnate, so I don't see why not...

atoz: thanx, GG.

Your answer ties in with what God says about loving our friends and our enemies: Matthew 5:43-48.

in love,
atoz
