This Inspirational Story had this Cracked Pot and her mother (also a Cracked Pot), leaking water all over the place. Thanks for that atoz, it is so beautiful I decided to post it here.

Cracked Pot Inspirational Story
A water bearer in India had two large pots,
one hung on each end of a pole which he carried
across his neck. One of the pots had a crack
in it, and while the other pot was perfect and always
delivered a full portion of water at the end
of the long walk from the stream to the
master's house. The cracked pot arrived only half full.
For a full two years this went on daily, with the bearer delivering only one and a half pots full of water in his master's house.
Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments, perfect to the end for which it was made.
But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it was able to accomplish only half of what it had been made to do.
After two years of what it perceived to be a bitter failure, it
spoke to the water bearer one day by the stream.
"I am ashamed of myself, and I want to apologize to you."
Why?" asked the bearer.
"What are you ashamed of?"
"I have been able, for these past two years, to deliver only half my load because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your master's house.
Because of my flaws, you have to do all of this work, and you don't get full value from your efforts," the pot said.
The water bearer felt sorry for the old cracked pot, and in his compassion he said, "As we return to the master's house, I want you to notice the beautiful flowers along the path."
Indeed, as they went up the hill, the old cracked pot took notice of the sun warming the beautiful wild flowers on the side of the path, and this cheered it some.
But at the end of the trail, it still felt bad because it had leaked out half its load, and so again it apologized to the bearer for its failure.
The bearer said to the pot, "Did you notice that there were flowers only on your side of your path, but not on the other pot's side?
That's because I have always known about your flaw, and I took advantage of it. I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back from the stream, you've watered them.
For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers
to decorate my master's table. Without you being just the way you are, he would not have this beauty to grace his house."
Moral: Each of us has our own unique flaws. We're all cracked pots.
But it's the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding. You've just got to take each person for what they are, and look for the good in them. There is a lot of good out there.
There is a lot of good in us!
Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not be bent out of shape.
Remember to appreciate all the different people in your life!
Thank you to the cracked pots in my life.
You have made life more interesting and beautiful. |

Bitterlily: | Quote: | :
For unto everyone that hath (LOVE) shall be given(LOVE), and he shall have abundance (OF LOVE): but from him that hath not(LOVE) shall be taken away even that (LOVE)which he hath. Mat 25:29 |
BL, do you see how you are auto doing what I do?
Substituting the word Love?
Perfect!
So that leads into How God loves himself with all of HIs HUSSM specifically:
Guess How?
As every word and its opposite. matthew 5:43-48.
God created language and so created words with opposites, and so created the word Love to love itself and ITS opposite Hate, and to love all other words and their opposites!
So the word Love is God's master Word for all other words.
So?
So when God lvoes all words and their opposites,
all words mean Love to him and Love means all words to him!
All words include all names and all numbers!
That's right: math is a word and all numbers from 0 to 9 can be SPELLED zero, one, two, ...none!
So not only do all words mean Love, but all numbers mean Love and Love meams all numbers!
So that is why God is Number One! and Number Infinity!!
See?
So how do YOU love yourself specifically?
by YOU Bitterlily loving yourself as all words and their opposites!!!
By you loving you as all words and their opposites,
Love means all words and all words mean Love or God!,
your mind is filled with Love, Ephes 4:
to which mind of Love only God has the key of Love, matthew 16:18-20
and so ONLY God can be in your mind, 1 corin 7.
ONLY God can possess your mind,
you have the Mind of JC, Philip 2:5,
and
so NO DEMON NOR SATAN can ever get in there, and in fact do NOT want to get in there since they HATE Love and hate to love!
see?
Story done!
That's question #2 and 3 answered.
So by committing to love you as all words,
you auto are repenting of hating you as any word!
acts 2:38-40.
Therefore, you will be loving you as much as and just as God and JC love you...as Themselves: as every word and its opposite.
Now read John 15:9! and John 1:1 and 6:63 and matthew 12:34-37
That's q#1 answered!
Now is this all new to you?
NO!
You knew all this as a kid when you learned the alphabet!
When you learned the alpha by LOVING all your leters and sounds,
you auto knew that ITOTKO! siince all letters and sounds meant LOVE to you and LOVE meant all words to you and therefore YOU meant all words to you since YOU already LOVED yourslef as all the letters and sounds!
see?
So that is WHY 1 corin 14:20 and matt 18:1-3.
So all God is doing is reminding you of what you already knew as a kid and filed away when you were mis-taught to hate any words!
So by loving all words an their opposites, you auto love all words and their enemies since opposites means enemies!
see? How simple God is? and how genius he is?
So matthew 5:43-48 is kid's stuff! Out of the mouth of babes...
Then as you commit to love you as God loves u: as all words and their opposites,
your brain will auto convert all your Hate for any word into Love for all words in about 9 months!
Your brain works at the speed of thought: faster than the speed of light! But there are more interconnections in your brain than there are atoms in the universe! So even at the speed of thought, it takes about 9 months!
Then you have freedom of thought and freedom of speech and freedom of action and reaction with a willingness to pay in love for action or reaction. 2 cor 3:18-20.
Then evena s you now do, you will understand ALL of the Bible which is all written HOW? One guess! Of course, IN LOVE.
Then you can live by every word of God because you literally LOVE every word in the Bible!
Then titus 1:15 is true.
Then Romans 8:1 is true.
So I am out of time! please excuse all typos.
One more thing: all that Love for you as all words means that there is no one no matter who they are that you don't love as yourslef!
All that Love for you as all words means that the FIRST and ONLY sin is to HATE youa s any words! Thay hate is what leads to to auto hate all others as yourslef!
see?
So there you have it.
Apply this Love to the Ten, and you see how hating any word is to break all the Ten in spirit just by your attitude of hate since to hate any word means that you make that word your idol since you are allowing it to stop you from loving you or God or your neighbor as that word! roman 8:35-39. you kill Love: that's murdr: you don't pay Love: that's stealing; you want what you love more than normal since you really do hate its opposite: that's lust or coveting.
Then everything will make sense.
Now ask all questions and or make all comments.
And I thank God ...in Love...for you and family!!
All this is for your mom too.
I'll make comments on your previous post later!
But you can guess what they will be: you were awesome in every detail!
in Love always,

Next one will be:
How specifically does God love Himself: Answer will be as all words and their opposites. So you can read ahead in Matthew 5:43-48 and Ecclesiates 3:1-8 and Romans 8:35-39 and Philippians 4:11-13 and Matthew 25:35-45 and any other verses that comes to your mind.
BL: I read these verses you quoted and look forward to hearing you sharing your insights on them. (I especially love the ones in Romans and Phillipians) I heard Matthew 25:35-45 very differently in light of what we have been discussing here. I will use the last verse for an example:
Quote:
For unto everyone that hath (LOVE) shall be given(LOVE), and he shall have abundance (OF LOVE): but from him that hath not(LOVE) shall be taken away even that (LOVE)which he hath. Mat 25:29
WOW!!! I had not seen it like that before.
atoz: AWEFULL, full being more than some!smile
As you love you more, that's how it will be more, then all the time!
The fun thing is that every word is so infinitely deep that we will never be able to see it all!
BL:
It's funny you say that atoz because I (a female) once wore those same frocks/dresses you speak of. We lived in a small town and attended the convent school. At one point the convent only had 11 children attending and not enough boys serving at the altar. So our easy-going priest opened the invitation to girls as well. I and another girl put our hands up without hesitation. We felt like we had one the lottery. You should of seen the huge smile from ear to ear on my face, when my family arrived for mass for my first time as altar girl. It still makes me giggle even today. But this experience was short lived because our Priest was transferred and replaced by an Old School Priest who wasn't pleased with these impure additions to his altar, as well as the prayer meeting that my mum used to attend. I might add too, my promotion to altar girl made me feel that I was getting closer to God and thus my healing. When it was taken away from me I felt robbed, I was so hurt.
The new priest put a stop to the lot, and as a result 5 families (including ours) left the Catholic Church. It was these 2 events that gave Mum the courage to leave. Mum talked about how before this new priest came along, the old priest used to often take the congregation along to the other christian churches in town when there were special events going on. I think these 2 priestly examples of inclusiveness and exclusiveness really stuck out to mum (and others) like a sore thumb.
atoz: sad! Stuff like that has happened all over the world with RCC priests. But God was leaqdin your mom and you outta there!
Loving Always

|
atoz: All ears! There must be a being like that too!smile
See Ezekiel 10:12 for a being that is literally ALL EYES!
BL: I'll try to describe in my own words (and the Bible's) what I think you are saying and you let me know if I am understanding you correctly.
at: ok.
BL: Here is what I am hearing:
| Quote: | | And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. 1Jo 4:16 |
When we dwell in Love, God does not see us with all our flaws and failings like we do (and as I have been doing). He sees himself (LOVE) in us. This reminds me of the verse which says:
atoz: awefull and awesome!smile
Bl:
| Quote: | | (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which are not as though they were. Rom 4:17 |
This is why my answer to your question was "No". I was seeing myself through my own eyes instead of God's.
atoz: Right. From now, by loving you as all words, you will only see you as God sees you: thru the Eyes of Love! You will be ALL EYES!smile
| atoz wrote: | God commands us to love Him with all our Hearts, Understanding, Soul, Strength and Mind,
and to love our neigbors as ourselves.
Matthew 22....
Mark 12:....
Luke 10:.... |
BL: I am so glad you quoted these verses atoz. You obviously feel the same way about them as I do. I often feel that so many other commandments are given more attention, more regard, more respect, more priority than these that our Lord said were of paramount importance.
atoz: That just proves again that God has been working with you for a long long time!
You cd only say that because God showed that to you!
BL: I always think of what Paul said:
| Quote: | | Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not love, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not love, it profiteth me nothing. 1Co 13:1-3 |
So why is it that we can have all these gifts and yet it profit us nothing? It's like sweet John said:
| Quote: | | He that loves not knows not God; for God is love. 1Jo 4:8 |
atoz: exactamente!
BL:
As much as is in me I try to "speak the truth in love". When I feel unable to, I refrain from speaking and seek the Lord with all my heart. It's like having a soak in a nice warm bath of Love. It is during these times that I often receive inspiration:D
atoz: Yes! well said!
| atoz wrote: | 2 A. How does God love Himself?
Based on the Golden Rule found in Matthew 7:12, |
YES! YES! YES!
| Quote: | | Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. Mat 7:12 |
I SAY AMEN TO THAT ONE ATOZ!
This is what I try to do all the time (though I fail at it sometimes as with T1). I try to put myself in other people's shoes. When I speak, I try to put their need to hear above my need to speak (does that make sense). In other words if I feel my words are only of benefit to me but not the hearer I (try at least to) refrain from speaking. When I listen or read, I try to listen for the heart behind the words, for the author's intent for the words, rather than just how I percieve them. But again I fail at this sometimes too, especially in a setting like this forum where I can't see the person's face or hear the tone of their voice. That's why I like using the smilie faces alot. In saying that though, the beauty of this forum is that it helps us to see past age, gender, race and disability and focus on the words being spoken. It also allows us to ponder about what is being said and what we hope to say.
atoz: xlnt! And as you love you as more amd more words, that list of age, gender, race and disability will go on ad infinitum!
| atoz wrote: | God loves himself JUST AS He commands me to love Him: God loves Himself WITH ALL OF HIS HUSSM!
Here is Matthew 7:
12Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them:
for this is the Law and the Prophets.
2 B. How does God love me?
Just as he tells me to love Him:
WITH ALL OF HIS HUSSM!
2 C. How does God love my neighbor?
Just as he tells my neigbor to Love Him:
WITH ALL OF HIS HUSSM! |
I hear ya atoz (and God) . Here is the verse that comes to my mind:
| Quote: | | Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill....Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. Mat 5:17 & Mat 7:12 |
ATOZ: excellent!
BL: The poem/song you quoted is so simple and yet profound.
atoz: thanx!
BL: | atoz wrote: | Question for you:
When God is my neighbor like when Jesus was on earth, How am I supposed to love Him?
With all my HUSSM?
As my neighbor?
Or Both? |
I think both. Why I say this is because my love for him has grown more as a result of viewing him as my neighbour than not. When I first read the Bible I kept putting myself in God's shoes whenever He spoke or did anything. Like when I first read the account of the flood. I felt God's sadness and cried when it said: | Quote: | | And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. Gen 6:6 |
My heart grieved for God, who's heart was grieving for us.
atoz: perfect! To cry more in Love, put God in YOUR shoes!smile
see psalms 103:13
with Love,
atoz.
PS: this was supposed to come before the one above since that's the end-part of this post.
But when I tried to post it, I lost it!
But I had that one and so posted that first, then redid this first one last!smile |
