Boys all over the world play soldiers. How many toy guns are used by kids in the U.S? Then again, how many REAL guns are used by kids in the U.S?

How about the real child abuse, the imprisonment of 426 Palestinian children, from the ages of 12-18 in Israeli jails. The brutal deaths of 881 children by the Israelis? How about the trauma of constantly being under Israeli occupation, under attack and constant fear. What about seeing your mother or father being shot in cold blood before your eyes?

first, that's not child abuse. That makes them victims of another nations military action. We can debate what kind of victim...but generally I'll say that children are innocent victims of collateral damage rather than deliberate military targets.

Child abuse is inflicted upon children by their caregivers...that's what we're talking about here.

True and not enough in my opinion. I played soldier all the time as a kid. Clear cut lines between good (us) and them (those that wanted to destroy our way of life)

...but I wasn't and American aren't now subjected to morning TV programs that encourage them to kill the Zionist...they're not encouraged to become suicide bombers...they're not encouraged to hate by their parents. Some are, but they're rejected by mainstream. In Palestine, the obverse is true.

The Palestinian National charter and national anthem call for the destruction of ISRAEL! for heaven's sake... Rolling Eyes

Fair point, but off topic. Yes, it's a problem and I don't think we've done enough to address that issue...and no, I don't mean more gun control. I actually support less gun control, but more education and more accountability for the criminals.

Moreover, your argument is basically "how dare you complain about us if you have problems too"...that's ok, but it doesn't refute the facts ON YOUR END. If it's wrong...it's wrong.

Bush says - If they are not for us, they are against us.

Jesus says - If they are not against us, they are for us.

So which is worse Pondering? What do you think of Isreali actions? The deliberate targetting of children?

Hmmm... I didn't see a hint of that in the article. Perhaps you could direct us to where this policy is tolerated???
I do know one thing... that soldiers from the US, when fighting in Iraq, often do place themselves in riskier situations because they are trying to minimize civilian causalities. That is also true of the Israeli Army, as pointed out in the article.
Funny how I don't see the concern over the children causalities of suicide bombers who kill in the name of Islam and Allah a disproportional amount of Muslim kids... more than any Israeli would ever think of doing... why is that Tip?

I don't think that is the policy of Israel...if you know for a fact otherwise, please provide a source...If you're talking about the Dura case, the reporter that published that story is currently under trial for staging the photos....

Do Israeli actions cause civilian casualties? Yes..it's called collateral damage....but that happens during a war, and do you deny that the PLO/Hamas/Hezbollah etc haven't "declared war" on Israel? That they don't lob missiles into Israel? That homicide bombers don't light themselves off in Israeli malls, theaters, shops, and buses?

The Palis fight from urban centers (attacking Israeli infrastructure and civilian targets)...and then you expect Israel to do what? I think the Israeli limit their engagements as much as is practicable to still strike their targets...If I were Israel, I'd buy about 10,000 D9 catepillar bulldozers, line them up on the east side of Gaza and push west until I hit the surf line....but then, that's just me.

Are you saying then that Muslims that raise their children after the example that Mohamed set is child abuse?

If this is what it means to raise children after the example of Mohamed, then YES. Absolutely. The worst form of child abuse.

They are raising these children to be violent instead of raising them in love. They are raising them to become killers and suicide bombers instead of bringing them up to help others and bring joy and goodness to the world. They are raising them to hate instead of teaching them that there is a better way.

Worst of all, they are taking them far, far away from the loving arms of the God who really created them.
