Recognizing the True Jesus requires divine revelation!
• Mat 16:15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
• Mat 16:16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the CHRIST, the SON of the living God.
• Mat 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, BUT MY FATHER WHICH IS IN HEAVEN.
Questions:
1. What did Simon Peter see in Jesus for declaring He is the “CHRIST?”
2. What did Simon Peter see in Jesus for declaring He is the “SON of the living God?
3. Any difference from the usual recognition and the "divine revelation?" |

Actually, it was Simon Peter's brother, Andrew, who told him that Jesus is the Christ.(messiah)
John 1:40-42 (King James Version)
40One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother.
41He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.
42And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.
Question:
How come Jesus didn't know that Andrew told Peter that he was the Christ?
How come Jesus was mistaken and thought that God the father told Peter that he was the Christ?
