How's it going everyone? Obivously, I'm new to BD.com. To be completely honest, I am looking for an online bible study group. I've been save for roughly 14 years, but I'm just starting to get into God's word. I'm reading the bible daily but I want to study it. I want to understand what it means, not just read what it says. I enjoy learning what the original words that were used were and what they meant at the time. I enjoy getting the historical background to various verses. The problem is that I don't know where to begin. I'm hoping that either this is the place where I can do that, or someone here can direct me to a good online group of studying the bible for new students.
Either way, I definitely like this site and have enjoyed reading through some of the commentary and debates. Maybe one day I will be literate enough in God's word to be able to join a debate.
Thanks,
