Shocked Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

there's running story going around that Al Gore is famous now (or notorious) for bringing "opposite" weather with him on these global warming lectures he does...

a while back he went to Australia 2 weeks before summer starts there (Dec 21)...so it's the height of spring...and it snowed

Do you guys think that global warming means there won't be snow?

One of the predictions of climate change is that cold weather will be more intense.

Cant we use some other word than warming for this like "climate change" obviously it is not just warming.

It is one of those cliche things that gets absorbed by the media and they wont let go even though it has other meanings besides warming.

P, I think the point is the apparent irony. Even if 'global warming' still allowed for warm weather, it is ironic and very humorous that they would have a meeting stressing the disaster of the planet warming and it be canceled because of freezing weather. That is just funny, no matter how you look at it.

It means that storms will have more kinetic energy in them, making them more extreme at both ends. Hurricanes will have more force, and blizzards will also have more force. It also means that hot weather will be hotter and cold weather will be colder.

Yeah, the Earth's atmosphere was never arrested for DUI!

I bet it also never went AWOL, used cocaine, or misled the American people into thinking that Saddam was responsible for Sept. 11th.

Mat 8:26 And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.

what about the earth itself?... Very Happy Very Happy

is24:19The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly.

20The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again.

21And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth.

22And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited.

23Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.
