Let us try once more: Read what I wrote and address that, if you feel so inclined. Otherwise please stop trying to divert the focus from the truth I have stated.
You violated board rules. That is a fact. You attacked a poster and not the post. Your reasons for doing so are your own and I will leave you to them for they matter not in the truth of the matter.
I am done now, I have said all I will say on the matter and I have work to go to.

I would put stock in what P1234567890 says here. He was moved to action because the member in question was so fervent about stating that they were a specific real world person.
I do not know Dr. Martin, but it is very unusual for any member to be so adamant that they are a particular person when first posting. Most members become open over time.
The member's account has been closed and their screen name changed to "unverified". I highly doubt this situation would escalate to a court case. P1234567890's actions on this are admirable and are simply an extension of the golden rule. None of us would want someone else impersonating us, which is why it's also against our rules.
We do have a policy of "debate the post not the poster" - however when this member declared publicly who they were and we have no means to verify this, then who they were did indeed become the post subject.
What P1234567890 did was a good thing.

Adament wasn't the problem Admin. The problem was in fact that I was being misrepresented by a few of your members. If in fact that ever happened to you, I'm sure you would stick up for yourself just as I did on these boards. |

What is your beef? The Doc came in here bragging about his credentials and made himself very suspicious by actign the manner that he was. A number of people had the few braincells required to see that the guy was a phony and pressed him to verify that he is who he claimed to be. This is not tantamount to attacking the poster, but is rather exemplary of common courtesy. Would you want someone posing as you?

No, and neither would I want someone posting that I'm an imposter on one of my favorite boards to post on. I figured P12345 would go to this dirty extent however to prove his point. I got a phone message from him, and basically told him I'm an imposter, just to see how he'd react on the boards here. |

I mentioned that in a previous thread. It hd to do with insect neurotransmission and hemoglobin.
