Welcome to the board Nerina!!! Glad to see new folks round these here parts! What were you doing messing in the occult?

BTW... I hate cats! I often have these visions of killing my wife's. I'm not sure is I need some type of therapy... but I just can't stand that evil thing that lurks around my house. Confused or disgusted

In a nutshell, I became a Christian 20 years ago at college, backslid thanks to Word of Faith abuse, threw myself into feminist spirituality and hence into witchcraft, married a fellow Pagan (he's still a Pagan), ended up a Gardnerian Wiccan, Jesus spoke to me in a coven ritual as we were preparing to invoke the goddess into me and told me to get out, so I did. That was 4 years ago - since then I've been spending my time sharing the Gospel with those involved in the occult, which for some reason upsets Pagans AND some Christians. There's so much fear and mutual distrust between Christians and Pagans, and it's not surprising given the guff that so many Christians write about the occult. Most Christian writings on witchcraft I would classify as 'soft porn fantasy.'

I'll try not to hold it against you that you hate cats Wink

One often feels uncomfortable when faced with a superior lifeform.

I've had as many as 14 cats at one time and 3 dogs. At present I'm petless.

My daughter was into wiccan awhile back. She likes to dabble in the garden with herbs and what not. Not a witch mind you, if that were the case I'd have to burn her at the stake...

Well I guess I'll be moving along then. I've tried to get involved since I joined; was completely ignored on one thread and nastily abused by a non-believer/ignored by fellow believers on another for intruding on a public discussion. In the 5 years that I've been involved with this kind of discussion on the Net, this site wins the award as the least welcoming 'Christian' site that I've encountered. It's a shame because it looked initially as if it had lots of potential but I guess you live and learn. I'll be off and find somewhere friendlier and less cliquey. Please can one of the admin delete or inactivate my account.
