As most of you know, I have a love for Israel and the Jews in my heart. It's been there for a long time now. Jesus, and all the Apostles were of Jewish ancestry. If it wasn't for the Jews, we would have no Savior.

I want to thank Gabbylittleangel for her prayers on the prayer forum. My hope that all Christians feel the same way I do. America does have a role for the peace of Israel, and so do we. Politically, this is very difficult, but the situation will finally end like this, WE WIN.

Right now the Middle East is in chaos. I believe we should stand with Israel, and look up to heaven and say ABBA FATHER, I want to say, I trust you with all of my heart, lay all of our burdens at your feet, always keeping our eyes upward, and looking forward to being with you forever in the name of Jesus, our Mighty King and Lord of Lords.

golfjack,
I want to add my prayers for Israel to yours also.
And the bible says that not all Israel is Israel. But those who believe in the One True God. Our God.

I'm sure there are many over there on both sides the wall, Israel and Palestinians, Syrians, Jordanians...that the True Israel is made up of.
So My prayer is for the land Jerusalem and God's people Israel. Not by name only, but by Spirit. My heart is breaking for them and us.
I don't know which side is right or wrong. I've read much on both sides. And sometimes it's not what's in the flesh that counts but in the Spirit.
I'm trying not to take sides by appearances or names or titles, but looking inside and trying to discern each sides true intention of the heart.
This world is so crooked sometimes, we have to use special magnifying glasses to see what's truly going on.
So My prayer is for peace for all mankind everywhere. Both in spirit and in flesh. And for the world we live in. Both the land and the people. Who belong to Jesus Christ our Lord.

But I hear you,
God Bless
Lone

What is true Israel Lone? What is natural Israel. Do Muslems believe in our God or the God they call Alah? I must stay on the side of our God because Jersualem is called the city of God. Yes, we can pray for all nations to come to Christ, but in the natural, and in reality, we are in the fight of our lives, and when evil comes into physical manifestation, it should be destroyed.

golfjack,

I must agree. While there is endless debate over questions like "what is Israel?" or "What is a Jew?", the wars seem to continue to be over the land. While we have all heard of the promised land, it is interesting to note that God went so far as to name it's borders.
God made the same promise over and over.

Gen 12:1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
Gen 12:7 And the LORD appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto the LORD, who appeared unto him.
Gen 13:14 And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward:
Gen 13:15 For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.
Gen 13:17 Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee.
Gen 15:7 And he said unto him, I [am] the LORD that brought thee out of Ur of the Chaldees, to give thee this land to inherit it.
Gen 15:18 In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:
Gen 17:8 And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.
Gen 28:13 And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I [am] the LORD God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed;
Gen 35:10 And God said unto him, Thy name [is] Jacob... Gen 35:12 And the land which I gave Abraham and Isaac, to thee I will give it, and to thy seed after thee will I give the land.

Notice specifically the land that God gave to Abraham that is outlined in Genesis 15:18.
from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:

With the battle over tiny strips of land like Palestine and Gaza, what is going to happen when Abrahams seed goes after the rest of the promised land?

I am with you. I have been praying for Israel since this whole thing started. I can't watch it on the news anymore because it scares my 8 year old daughter.

God bless you ChristineS. I can understand why your child is scared, but if she has Christ in her heart, she can't lose. It would be probably be a good idea to keep her from watching the news.

Matt. 12:48-50But Jesus answered the one who was telling Him and said, "Who is My mother and who are My brothers?" And stretching out His hand toward His disciples, He said, "Behold My mother and My brothers! "For whoever does the will of My Father who is in heaven, he is My brother and sister and mother."

While I believe prayer for peace and deliverance for middle easterners is wonderful, I also believe we can go too far in blind devotion to Israel. Not blind devotion to God, but blind devotion to Israel. Please note that discrepancy.

Why were the Israelites the chosen people? Because their father Abraham had faith in God. A living, active faith that God was there and would fulfill his promises. As a result, his offspring believed and trusted in the Lord (though they often wavered).

However, the inhabitants of modern day Israel are fairly secular. I don't see how, as a nation, they adhere to the will of the heavenly Father. Therefore I do not believe that scripture is always referring to a literal geographic Israel. Obviously when it says we should pray for Jerusalem, or that all the inhabitants of Israel will repent around the time of the second coming the Bible refers to a nation. However, the Bible also clearly teaches that a prophet has no honor in his hometown, and that the way was rejected by his own people. Thus the new "Israel" is made up of inhabitants of the kingdom of God: those who do the will of our father in Heaven.

As for the incredible statement "without the jews we would have no saviour". Wow. I must vehemently disagree. Without God almighty we would have no saviour. The jews have not saved humanity from the clutches of sin. God has. And just because the jews were the chosen people under the old covenant does not mean they are excused from the new covenant. Without faith in Christ they are as lost as any other non-believer.

Drewgie;
I am assuming that all of your loved ones are saved, and therefore you are not concerned with the possibility of Jerusalem soon being surrounded. (Believed to be the last sign)

Luk 21:20 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.
Luk 21:28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

I am quite possibly the most eager person on the face of the planet to see this mess end and see the rapture happen. But I want to take ALL of my loved ones.
Most of the people who have responded to my prayer for Jerusalem do not seem to be blindly devoted to anything. They know the Lord, they know the word, they know the prophesies, and they are watching the news and comparing it to Scripture with their eyes wide open.
May God restore compassion to His people.
