Please pray for my husband to find a job. He has been without a job for 2 weeks, and is not able to collect unemployment. ( as his job was paid in cash - no benefits) Please pray that he gets a decent paying job. As he just applied for two different good -paying jobs, and it will help us to get caught up on bills that are way behind. We are in great financial distress and only have income from my disability.

janna57, my prayers are with you. Lately the devil seems to think that employment is the target that he should aim at in my life. With each progressive attack he seems to be loosing impact, or else my reaction to it has improved. It is a test of faith for sure. It seems silly, I know God is God when I am out of work just like He is when I have job security, but it used to put me into a sort of spiritual free fall. The Lord always causes me to mount up with wings as eagles.
May I offer some suggestions for walking through this valley? Stay in the WORD. Know that God is still God. He knows what you have need of even before you ask Him. Ask anyway. Tell Him if and when it hurts, or frightens you. Tell him your financial needs. Money comes from unexpected sources. Learn to receive from others. Scripture says that it is more blessed to give than to receive. You are blessing others when you allow them to help you. Finally, remember that not everything that God does in your life is for you. Where you are, who you work next too, is your mission field. If God takes you out of one place and moves you to another, it is because He has a plan. Be sensitive to His direction.
Mat 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
