Me and my paster were talking about the End Times. I went home and read about the day of the lord. And then I remeber that a day with the lord is 1000 years and vice versa. So we were talking again and I asked him if that could mean a century in our time instead of a day. The day of the lord is a day of Battles, Natural Disasters, and Supernatural events. this century is home to WWI, WWII, and possibly WWIII. and look at all the Natural Disasters this century they get worse each and every year. and I don't know what the bible means by Supernatural Events. So I was wondering if any one could shed some light on trhis for me please. Thank You Very Happy

Hi there, I like to see a teenager study the Bible. A big AMEN to that.

There are many scriptures that point to end times. What you are asking is very complicated, and very briefly will tell you what I have learned.

1 Peter 3:8, In verse 8 Peter reveals a key to understand certain end-time events: One day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as a day. This simply means that in certain places in scripture (at least double reference); a day represents a thousand year period. Yet, it can only be interpreted that way when it is obvious that it fits prophetically. For instance, in the scriptures you will find the phrase the day of the Lord. This at times refers to a thousand year day, which begins when Christ comes to the earth at the end of the tribulation period to set up His kingdom. Peter implies that we could be ignorant about some things, but he admonishes us not to be ignorant about this one thing, for it is an important key to understanding end-time events. The second key concerning end-time events: one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

It seems that God has divided the time of man's dominion on planet earth into three equal segments of time. Bible history reveals that from the creation of Adam to Abraham was 2 thousand years , and from Abraham to Christ was 2 thousand years. If we use terminology that Peter used, we could say: there were 2 dayss from Adam to Abraham and 2 days from Abraham to Christ; which is a total of 4 days from the creation of man to Christ. Then the parable of the Good Samaritan seems to reveal from Christ to the end of the Church Age is also 2 days, or 2 thousand years; making a total of six thousand years. Maybe you should study this parable.

May God bless, golfjack
