Then Nebuchadnezzar said, "Praise be to the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, who has sent his angel and rescued his servants! They trusted in him and defied the king's command and were willing to give up their lives rather than serve or worship any god except their own God. Therefore I decree that the people of any nation or language who say anything against the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego be cut into pieces and their houses be turned into piles of rubble, for no other god can save in this way."

Daniel 4 is kind of a recap. The king is telling the people what happend.

Daniel 5- King Belshazzar gave a great banquet for a thousand of his nobles and drank wine with them. While Belshazzar was drinking his wine, he gave orders to bring in the gold and silver goblets that Nebuchadnezzar his father had taken from the temple in Jerusalem, so that the king and his nobles, his wives and his concubines might drink from them. So they brought in the gold goblets that had been taken from the temple of God in Jerusalem, and the king and his nobles, his wives and his concubines drank from them. As they drank the wine, they praised the gods of gold and silver, of bronze, iron, wood and stone.

The Son did exactly what his father did wrong. But this time Daniel himself was punished, He got thrown in to the Den of lions. But of course he didnt die.
If you notice Daniel learned from the past and didnt accept king Belshazzar Gifts as he accepted his fathers gifts

I think it is very intresting if you compare the words from Daniel and from Revelation not chapter to chapter but the description of thing. Revelation is the last chapter but Daniel makes me understand Revelations better.

Right ON girl! Not that many see this, the casting in the fire and also the consuming of ones verses NO HURT on the others.

Christina, you might want to do an email thing instead of discuss this openly, but did you ever notice the wording in the many places of the Second death and this picture as well? The same terminology is used in Daniel on this very thing. The clues are "No power over them" and "Not hurt", the Fire itself and the presense of the Lamb and His HOLY angels. Now its not clear but to compare the two is considered foolishness to some, which I could care less about but I really hate to argue about the beauties in scripture.

Theres the thought of the Fire itself and God himself is a CONSUMING FIRE as is His word (The same word by Fire Peter says) Some were consumed yet the three in with one like Christ (The Lamb) is also seen in Revelation. Tormented from the presence? Legion? Asking if the Lord had come to torment them before the apointed time? Yet saved the man as Love would do casting those devils (or tormenting thoughts) into the swine rushing down into the LAKE (Water) of Fire...

Dont know yet just a thousand awesome things running through my mind which used to be set in stone has everything shifting within me.

Its so kool when one really spends time in the scriptures, looking at all these great things and can remain open to the ever present teaching of the Holy Spirit.

Such a rare find, I found in you as well as a few others I get extremely blessed through in so many ways.

Death and Hell are destroyed by GOD Himself in the OT but in the New T death and Hell go into the lake of Fire, I hold both as true, which becomes a pretty awesome paradox in itself.

I see what you are saying. You do have to go back & forth like that, especially with Revelations. Its not foolish at all. God has a way of showing us things when we are ready for them.

Quite often things are revealed to us & we get it straight, it just gets difficult to explain it because of language barriers-especially online.

I had to comment, I like your avatar, are ya trying on new stuff here? lol!

Its so nice to see those who are currently being raised up in the body of Christ, theres a flavor in them that has been since lost. I completely stand in awe of God for His faithfulness in those who seek Him and understanding. This blesses all of us to receive through each other, but ofcourse it simply ticks "some" off lol!

Will ya'll slap me if I ever get to the point I think I know something and become an old sourpuss stuck in the mud? lol!

I haven't the slightest clue, I havent read it yet. If God will stop pouring in blessings from where I've been reading, I would certainly read more but He hasn't yet lol! Laughing

Theres so many books I haven't even opened yet, but what I find is that they express the same things over and over but differently, so one really just needs to familiarize themselves with the language and symbols used in the book and compare spiritual with spiritual, I find them all so complimentary. I get stuck when I havent read it yet to see How God uses His words in another book where I have no familiarity so its foreign until I do, then it pretty much can be compared to what He has shown elsewhere, just in a different way.

This is what Daniel told Belshazzar

"O king, the Most High God gave your father Nebuchadnezzar, greatness and glory. Because of the high position he gave him, all the peoples and nations and men of every language dreaded and feared him. Those the king wanted to put to death, he put to death; those he wanted to spare, he spared; But when his heart became arrogant and hardened with pride, he was deposed from his royal throne and stripped of his glory. He was driven away from people and given the mind of an animal; his body was drenched with the dew of heaven, until he knew that the Most High God rules the kingdom of mankind and sets over it whom he will.

"But you his son, O Belshazzar, have not humbled yourself, though you knew all this, but you have lifted up yourself against the Lord of heaven. And the vessels of his house have been brought in before you, and you and your lords, your wives, and your concubines have drunk wine from them. And you have praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood, and stone, which do not see or hear or know, but the God in whose hand is your breath, and whose are all your ways, you have not honored."
Therefore he sent the hand that wrote the inscription.

This is the inscription that was written:
Mene , Mene , Tekel , Parsin

Mene: God has numbered the days of your reign and brought it to an end.

Tekel: You have been weighed on the scales and found wanting.

Peres: Your kingdom is divided and given to the Medes and Persians.

Then at Belshazzar's command, Daniel was clothed in purple, a gold chain was placed around his neck, and he was proclaimed the third highest ruler in the kingdom.
That very night Belshazzar was slain, and Darius the Mede took over the kingdom.
