You are correct, however, it does not stop there. If I misunderstand you and you let me continue to misunderstand you, therefore basing the rest of our conversation on a misunderstanding, isn't that less than honest? But wait, we cannot stop there either, because the fact remains that if I misunderstand you and you let me misunderstand you, and then encourage me to continue to misunderstand you by supporting that misunderstanding, then that is a lie.
