Hello. I have recently left Islam (after 2 years). I am just curious, if someone has something to paste or post...about prophecies fulfilled so far (or currently being fulfilled) most specifically from the new testament although im interested in the OT as well.
Thanks and God Bless -Andrew

Most lists that I have seen show OT prophecies said to be fulfilled in the new testament.

For example, Genesis 3:15, the seed of the woman, being fulfilled as stated implicitly in Galatians 4:4, and that seed being bruised (crucified - John 19:18 ).

The gospel of Matthew presents Christ as the Messiah so it is full of statements demonstrating fulfillment of Messianic prophecies. For example, the Messiah will be smitten, Isaiah 50:6 and Matthew 26:67.

At the second coming of Christ the unfulfilled prophecies will be fulfilled such as ruling on the throne of David in the millenial kingdom. See Psalm 2:6-9 and Revelation 2:26-27.

The internet has lists such as at:
http://www.konig.org/messianic.htm
but I think a better (and safer) way to access fulfilled prophecies would be to purchase a study bible.

Hope some of this helps

Um, the prophecy stated that Jerusalem would be destroyed by a flood in Dan 9:26
That Christians like to interprete Daniel's propnecy to the destruction of the temple in 70 AD is plain wrong, since there was no flood then, nor at any later time until this day. Unless Jerusalem was swept away in a flood during the last 15 minutes, the prophecy is still not fulfilled.

Best Regards,

Fake

Jesus foretold the temple's destruction, not Daniel.

The metaphor "like a flood" that Daniel used in Daniel 9:26 obviously does not mean a physical flood. It is a metaphor that describes how the events will come - suddenly, one right after another.

Javan, you beat me to it... Razz

Daniel 9:26 After the sixty-two 'sevens,' the Anointed One will be cut off and will have nothing. The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood: War will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed.
