|
|
Salvation is freedom from committing sinful practices, (1 John 3:9..."Whosever is born of God...does not...commit sin").
No One can have Salvation, while committing known sin !!!
So...the first priority is to learn what the Bible defines as sin ( this is information Satan does NOT want you to understand).
#1......Romans 3:20..."for by the law...is the knowledge of sin".
#2....Romans 7:7..."I had not known sin, but by the Law".
#3.....1 John 3:4..."Whosoever commits sin transgresses the Law, for sin is the transgression of the Law".
Now, from these 3 scriptures, we can see that the Law defines to us, what sin is.
What Law is it, that has been in force throughout the entire Bible from Genesis to Revelation ?
It is the 10 commandments as found in Exodus 20:3-17.
Only the person who looks at God's Law....will be free from the committing of sin, thru the power of Jesus Christ working in the life of the Christian.
No man can keep the Law of God in their own strenght !
But God can provide a person with His power, to be in perfect obedience, to that Law.
WHY ?
Because the Bible says: 'Anything is possible with God'.
Do you believe that ? |

this doctrine sounds familiar, oh wait, i think i have heard of it before...possibly from a broken record...
ok, so we go with what you say, then every person but Jesus should end up in hell if we go with what you say. if the salvation process is for previous sins only: a man goes out and commits adultery with a woman. He stands up and trips on something and somehow manages to fall on a sharp object that instantly kills him. He does not have time to repent of his sin. so does this guy die and go straight to hell? or does he get to go to purgetory? or perhaps, let's say that once saved always saved, then this guy will get to go to heaven, even though he was not able to confess his sin.
which one is it? an act of condemnation of one of His previous children (which He would have to disown)? mercy as long as the people on earth work to help him to get to heaven? or is it that God is merciful to His children, no matter what?
Happy Holidays!!! |

For one thing...no one goes to heaven or hell...till after the Day of God's Judgment, til after Jesus Christ comes again, (Revelation 22:11,12).
2nd fact: Adam and Eve was the first lesson ever taught on what happens to those who sins willfully.
"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge..", (Hosea 4:6).
The study of the 1st and 2nd testaments of scripture...together, shows how God deals with sin. |

A true test ... to know where you are with God, is to answer the following question correctly.
I will pose the question after entering an interpretaion of a string found in Romans chapter 1 :
People knew God and understood Him but, after spending time together as men and women, their ego swung out of control and each began to lose their grip on the truth of the origins of life itself. In their folly and like a chain of events, each began to treat one another with more credibility than they deserved. They began to convince one another that the life in man was greater than the God who made it and in their loss of respect for God, they slipped into a current of foolishness that they found impossible to get out of, once they were in it.
Rather than admitting their error, they went along with their mistake and tried to make believe that the lie was the truth, and in the end lost their place with them selves and with God.
Locked into their poor choice God responded with a dramatic form of discipline that continues to be in effect today ... we are lost until we admit that God is great and greatly to be praised and ... that we are the created of Him, and that we are not great on our own as though we are something important " without Him in our life."
The question is this : Can you admit sincerely and honestly that you are of no value without God leading you every moment of every day?
Jesus said," without me, you can do nothing."
That text is Him speaking first person in that God was in Him speaking from the throne of God himself and that now, according to the plan of God, concerning the time of discipline that we find our self in after the fall of man and ensuing " recovery from lostness age," that we are in, we need God and the acts of Christ ( His blood ) to cover our sins and be saved.
i.e., without Him, we are each one of us lost, forever.
The answer to this question, if answered honestly and correctly does not mean that you are saved, only the blood of Christ can be applied and do that.
A correct answer though signifies that you have at least come to terms with why we are lost and what it takes to begin recovery.

can someone tell me what pt's answers to my questions are? or did he even answer them?
what i get from what pt says is that the man could be sent to either heaven or hell. that's what i get.
i wonder about the 1st and 2nd testaments...are there more than just the old and new testaments?
Rev. 22:11-12 "He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be." - Now tell me, where does it talk bout: | Quote: | | For one thing...no one goes to heaven or hell...till after the Day of God's Judgment, til after Jesus Christ comes again, (Revelation 22:11,12). | and i thought that after the Day of God's judgement the lost, along with death and Hades and the devil and the beast and the false prophet, would be sent to the lake of fire (Rev. 20:10-15). |

Eternal life comes as a result of obedience to 'every' word of God, (Matthew 4:4).
Eternal death comes as a result od disobedience to God's commands, (Romans 6:23).
| Quote: | | i wonder about the 1st and 2nd testaments...are there more than just the old and new testaments? |
Satan has conditioned men's minds to want 'new' things in the world of today.
The mention of the 'Old'...such as the Old Testament, people don't want 'old things.....so the mind is conditioned to reject the Old Testament.
And so, I refer to the 1st Testament....and the 2nd Testament. |

| Quote: | | Jesus said," without me, you can do nothing." | Every person who 'tries' to worship God on Sunday...should ask themselves this very question.
Since Jesus never told anyone to observe that day....he asks: "Why do you transgress the commandment of God by your traditions" ? (Matthew 15:3).
And then he says: BUT IN VAIN...do they worship me...teaching for doctrine, teaching for doctrine the commandments of men", (Matthew 15:9). |

| I feel God's presence everyday. As for answering that question I can only pray God sees into my heart and mind and knows how much I love Him. I pray all the time through my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. |

Sin...any sin, results in death.
The Bible has been saying that since Adam and Eve.
The Christian world, needs to look at Matthew 7:21-23 ...very carefully !!! |
