Hi all,
I am SO excited about this. Most of you know we have new software coming soon, about 12 of our other sites are already using it now. One of the features that will be most useful hear is the ability to create "groups". We can use that feature to have core groups of members that want to study certain areas, or books, of the bible without interruption!

It will take us a little bit to figure out how it all works, but figure it out we will!

I do not know just how to have a group bible study on our website. I assume that we would post a message saying "Please indicate if you want to form a bible study group" and then, once a group was formed (8-12 people I would guess) we would post for suggestions on a book to study. (Or a topic to study

)
Assuming it is a book, we could assign passages to the group members and they would post the passage plus comments. Then others could share their views.

Is this what is envisioned? Thanks

Kind of like that. I think once groups open, let's say on particular bible books, then someone could "apply" to join. We could set a moderator for each one. Later that information could be used as a public database for independent study, etc.

At least, that's how I THINK it might work!
