The Bible says that the 'Mark' is 'IN' the forehead....and 'IN'...the hand.
The Bible does not say 'On' the forehead., but in the forehead.....meaning the mind is envolved.
Now, does Sunday seem more reasonable ? |
Read Deuteronomy 6:1-9 pay attention to verse 8
This is talking about God's mark. God's mark is NOT a physical mark and the beast's mark may not be either. You may be right about picking up on IN and not ON!

Lexicon Results for epi (Strong's 1909)
Greek for 1909
Pronunciation Guide
epi {ep-ee'}
TDNT Reference Root Word
Not Available a root
Part of Speech
prep
Outline of Biblical Usage
1) upon, on, at, by, before
2) of position, on, at, by, over, against
3) to, over, on, at, across, against
The above is the Strong's definition for epi, the word for 'on' in Rev 14:9. It is interesting to note that out of 14 different translations, the KJV is the only version that uses 'in' the forehead as opposed to 'on' the forehead. From the original text we can pretty well see that 'on' is a correct translation. |

So, you believe that the MARK will be an actual mark and you do NOT think that Deut. 6:8 is a clue in any way leading us to the meaning of the other MARK spoke of in Rev.? Satan is sometimes a copy cat when it comes to God's kingdom. He tries to imitate God. However, it may very well be both a physical mark to show man that you have accepted the counterfit religion of the beast. Then again, whether you have a physical mark or not, if you have accepted anything other than God's religion in your mind, you do not have God.

No. I did not say this is what I believe.
I simply pointed out that 'on' was the more accurate translation. A mark on the forehead can very well mean a condition of the mind as well as a physical mark. Do we not use the phrase "I have a lot on my mind"?
I was just pursuing clarity of scripture, not making a statement of belief. |

I understand. We are on the same page now. You are right about the phrase!

In fact, Jesus was the only person on the face of the earth who ever was able to keep the Covenant of Sinai fully and thus be declared righteous in his own right before God. Jesus fulfilled the requirements of the Law of Moses in his own life before He superceded the Law of Moses on the Cross. |

| How would a physical government do battle with spiritual forces? The beast(s) are spiritual (already here, already exist, already "marking" people), not physical, and definitely not political. |

Just a note for clarification on this point - the Protestant Christian churches have grown out of the Roman Catholic Church. You did mean the RCC, didn't you and not the small 'c' catholic meaning "comprehensive"? That creates an interesting quandary for those who prefer not to adhere to Mosaic Law...
And, while I think of it - the New Testament is identified by the "Book of Mormon" as having been 'polluted' by Satan and propagated by the church of Rome...
And, , the Coptic Gospels of Nag Hammadi say essentially the same thing... |

i like this idea of a rapture
YEAH RIGHT
there is no rapture, but believe it if you may
the rapture you will get is that you will be put in a flying saucer
and thrown into space,
just like the germans were taking the jews for a shower
and giving them poisonus gas as shower
there is no rapture my friend,
JESUS who is God was not taken away when the hour got hot
but you and me who are a sinners, we will be taken away
so we dont have to go through tribulation
you want scripture I GIVE YOU SCRIPTURE
| Quote: |
this is john 17 15
"I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. |
that pretty much states that no one is getting out of this world
SORRY TO DISSAPOINT BUT THAT IS WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS
about meeting the lord in the air, that is after the whole shebang
has occured, not before baby
so get ready to die for Jesus if you want to meet him in the air
of prepare to freak out when u find out that you were not
one of those that were thrown in space hehehe
hope it helps
